02-04-2025I’ve got a practice space downtown where I write and record music on my iMac. As the space is a little seedy, I’m hesitant to leave my iMac there, so rather than carry around in the box it came in, I figured a case would be better. While the case is essentially as big as the retail box, the padding is adjustable and easy to work with, and the shoulder strap helps a lot. The padded pockets on the back are pre-labeled with pictures, and if you really need to work from the case, there’s enough space and ventilation to keep the iMac at normal operating temperature. The only downside with working from the case is that it’s tricky to use the USB ports, particularly if you’re using a flash drive, as you need to take out the under-screen padding to keep from compromising the port. Otherwise, this case is amazing! Even though the price seemed high to me initially, the quality and durability makes it worth it. My love of my iMac has now spread further to include the case, which I’ve named Patrick.

> 3 dayAnybody looking to transport there iMac will absolutely love this case. As a photographer I am very particular about the build quality of the bags and case is that I use. This one met and exceeded all my expectations. It has a perfect layout in form factor in all of the pockets in storage pouches are easily accessible.

> 3 dayIts a quality case, but $220 is just way too much for this thing, especially for a soft case. Its almost as expensive as a hard pelican case! I bought this out of necessity because I was tired of repacking my iMac into its box when traveling around. I had hoped this case we more compact and tight, but not so much. Its cushioned a little bit for setting in a trunk but wouldnt feel very safe setting much on top of it or checking it on an airplane. Every time I use it I wonder if I should have just paid the extra money to get a hard case, then at least id have that option. Id say if this thing was $75-100 less Id be content, I just keep cringing at that $220 price tag and dont feel wonderful about this purchase.

> 3 dayWell thought out, well engineered. I returned my Mac that it was for and forgot to save the box for this, so can’t return it. But, it looks good sitting under a bench now. Not great for much besides 27” iMacs.

> 3 dayI was a little bummed that I didnt get this in time to get the one with wheels. The bag is heavy and add the iMac and it takes some effort to move around. That being said, I loved it. And am so happy with the purchase. I also realized I wouldnt have use the wheels as much - and they likely would have only added more weight. I love knowing I can travel around and my iMac can come with in it safe little suitcase. Plus I had room to back all the accessories - including a desk light. Totally worth it!

> 3 dayThis bag is amazing! I wish I had found it sooner. I was previously using a foam fitted hard case but it was bulky and not very functional. This bag is stylish, durable, and full of good storage solutions. Fits my 24 HP All-in-one perfectly. The pockets are roomy and will fit anything you need to take with you. I was skeptical on the price but its well worth every penny! Thanks Gator!!!

> 3 dayThis case/bag is awesome. Its portable as can be considering its housing a 27 iMac BUT all ports are truly accessible if you are in an environment where you dont want to take it out of the case. The proper padding exists in just the right places too. The pouches are thoughtfully designed and labeled. Its a little expensive for some but just remind yourself how much the iMac cost.

> 3 dayI gave this to my son working as a music producer in LA. He was able to take his 27 IMac to his engineers studio located 30 minutes from his home. Within minutes he was able to plug into the studio without taking his iMac from this case. My son is extremely particular about his gear and he raves about this case. He said his fellow music pros complimented him on the professional case he was using. This case is a really great product. My son has mentioned to me several times how the case has made the moving of his iMac to remote locations extremely easy.

> 3 dayI’m a musician, so I needed a way to transport my27” iMac on the road. A Gator case was a perfect solution, with its ample interior padding. Also had plenty of pockets for my peripherals

Greater than one weekThis seems like a perfect carrying case for newer than 2013 iMacs with the thin edge bezel and no CD drive. But Gator Case claims this fits 09 and newer iMacs. Unfortunately, they dont without user modifications. The small foam blocks that they provide to support the monitor in the case only accept thin bezel iMac displays. 2009-2012 iMacs are almost an inch thick at the base and this will cause the entire unit to rock out of place inside the bag. Id cut the foam to make it fit, but the fabric sewn around the foam block is too form-fitting to work. To top it all off, when I called Gator case, their customer service rep didnt even know that they sold these cases. Waiting for tech/customer support was non-existent, and now Im trying to determine if I should send this back and use the original iMac carrying case, or try the iLugger. As I said, it was a nice case. I wanted to use it, but trying to simply get customer support to explain how someone should pack a 2009-2012 27 iMac into this case only left to disappoint. And to top it off, the blocks do not suspend the iMac base off the bottom of the case. So if someone sets this on the floor too hard it may destroy your hinge join or cause and SSD mounted drive to come loose inside. (I wish they would have included two more foam blocks to fit the previous models).
