I liked this when I first got it, it was easy to connect to wifi and I could control it with the app on my phone. However, a little over a year after using it I switched to a new internet provider. When I attempted to switch this to the new wifi, the app kept saying it couldnt find it. So I unplugged it to try to reset it, when I plugged it back in, the light came on so I plugged something in to it to test it and it shot out sparks and went dead. Now all it does is shoot sparks and then lose power. Upset that this only last a little over a year. But guess Im lucky I found that it was faulty before it burned my house down!

I have many geeni cams, bulbs, and plugs. All are great EXCEPT the wifi 4 outlet plug. I bought 4 of them and almost a year later all 4 are dead. Avoid these, use the two plug units or the dots, those work great.

Works well, integrated easily with Alexa. Took off one star because of the large irritating blue light in the center of the unit which serves no purpose! There is a small blue light at the top of the unit which indicates the power is on. China factory needs to make a small change to have that center light go off after pairing is completed.

Setting up this smart WiFi power outlet is very quick and easy. You simply download the Geeni all if you dont already have it and register your email. Once thats done, you pair the device through the app, which is very straightforward and typical.of these types of devices. If you cant to pair it to Alexa, just enable the Geeni skill, which is similarly easy to do. I like that all 4 AC outlets can be controlled separately and put into different scenes/routines for automating things like holiday lights or anything else that you want to turn on/off on a schedule or in groups with other devices.

The first Alexa peripheral I got was a smart plug, and I liked it so much I bout several more. I like having control over lights without having to walk over to turn a switch. So when I had the opportunity to review this product. I jumped at it because it allowed for 4 circuits to be controlled in a single device. But now that it is here, I am struggling to figure out where I will use it. The benefit of the single socket devices is that they control only the device attached to it. These tend to be lamps in my household, so there are few places where I have 4 lamps plugged into the same outlet without using extension cords. I tried using it in my garage, where I thought I could control a couple of task lights plus a radio. Alas, my radio loses the station it was playing when poser is removed; so I’ll have to find a “dumber” radio for this to work. Right now, I’m still trying to find a place where 4 Alexa functions are consolidated into one physical space. So you should carefully consider what 4 functions you want to control, and whether they all could plug into the same location, before you choose a product like this.

This plug is pretty straightforward. It’s easy to install and operate and offers a great option for hard to reach plugs and cords. I purchased this for a basement project and I’ve been satisfied with its performance and reliability so far. The setup was super easy. I purposely chose this Geeni brand model due to my other smart appliances and lights operating under the same application. I wanted something that could integrate easily with the other appliances and reduce the amount of apps I’d have to utilize in the process. Amazon integration was fairly easy as well. It seems to work pretty well when the Alexa app itself performs as requested. There are pretty limited functions with each outlet other than a timer and schedule option. When initially purchasing this, I was hoping for was an option to dim lights. After labeling the plug as a light in the Alexa app, I assumed it would assign different properties to the selected outlet, but nothing really changed other than the icon, and maybe the analytics regarding energy usage and performance. In the end, I purchased a smart dimmer that is connected to the Geeni Smart plug, which now allows me to dim the lights. This plug serves its purpose and I’m overall happy with the purchase.

I liked the product but it stopped working about 5 months after I got it. Now it doesnt respond to anything.

Super easy to set up in the app and plug in the wall! I’m able to control my lamps and string lights in my room all in one app and plug! Very useful!

I use these smart switches for the kids so I dont have to worry about them leaving something on. Out of all my smart switches. Geeni was the best brand Ive used so I purchased this 4 outlet one to get rid of the crappy smart switches. So about 2 weeks in, using this outlet, my kids complain that this is turning off and on. Which it was so I figured it was detective or over heating so I ordered a replacement. THE REPLACEMENT IS DOING THE SAME THING OUT OF THE BOX WHILE IM SETTING IT UP. Also noticed scratches like this had been used already. Pass on this. Shame on you Geeni.
