Genius Baby Toys Black, White & Red Activity 3D Playmat & Gym

Absolutely fabulous! I bought this for my niece and she just comes alive playing on it. Excellent product for visual stimulation. I had to look high and low for this. The red, white, and black are prime for proper stimulation and I cant figure why they are so so hard to come by. I have since bought other fabulous baby items from Genius Baby Toys and she loves them all.

my 1 month old was hooked on black n white pictures so i wanted to buy a play gym that was black n white. this was perfect! he loves it! i can lay him there and he is mesmerized. good lil break from always carrying him. infants love contrasting colors they see those colors most. great for developing their eye sight

Bought this for 3 month old child. He loves laying on his back and looking at not only the hanging items, but also the arches with the polka dots and stripes. He looks up, smiles and babbles. Its very easy to put together. Since they say newborns see black, white and red initially I think this is a great gift for a newborn.

We got this play mat when my daughter was 5 weeks old and right from the first time on it she was completely engaged. She is now 3 months and she still likes this mat a lot. It is high quality and highly engaging. Great gift for a little love

Our daughter is a preemie she’s five months old, I have two other playmates that are pink with the piano and toys with the other doing research and finding out that Baby connect more with these colors this has been the best purchase for a play mat she’s more interested and more active and doesn’t lay there and cry or scream when on this mat should have bought this one to begin with

she is just 3 months old but she loves her gym says her mother. she wiggles and stares and reaches for the hanging figures. and according to her mother she prefers one over the others. she spends more time happily looking at the parts of the gym than before without it. her exercise time is more fun for both herself and her mother. so i as the grandmother have pleased both of them. and she is developing her mind according to research with the stark contrast of black. white and red. even her tummy time is more fun for her as she enjoys the bright mat to look at. i am content with the knowledge that i have contributed to her education and development with this toy. win and win for all of us!

My child wasnt interested.

I bought this playmat months ago but only decided to use it as a playmat 2 days ago. I had it attached to the inside of my babys playpen. She was fascinated by the characters and would quietly stare at it whenever I put her to lie in the playpen. It is 100% cotton, which was excellent since my baby has severe eczema and can only have contact with 100% cotton fabrics. I had to be spreading cotton fabric over everything she sits or lies on which defeats the purpose of having playmats I decided to wash this playmat so she could do her tummy time on it while looking at the pictures on the mat. BIG MISTAKE! It bleeds! Now all the white areas are pink! There is no more stark contrast in colour. Unless you plan to mount this mat vertically or you don t wash it for you baby to lie on I would not recommended you buy it. FOLLOW UP: I tried to return this item to Genius Babies but I was too late in trying to use it for them to take it back. I received the following from one of their Customer Service Representatives: ... We have had multiple testing of this product and in cold water, have never found it to run or bleed - only in warm and hot. As a mom myself I have used mine for both babies, with innumerous washings. Kindest Regards, Sarah Customer Care Just in case anyone else out there, like Sarah, may think I am lying about this I have taken several photos for prospective customers to see. If it didnt run, I really would not have wasted my time writing this review. Clearly Sarah must have received a different stock than I did as she has used hers for two babies thus suggesting she has had her for at least two years. Could it be possible that between manufacturing the one she bought and mine they changed the die or something??? Her response also reveals that even in the face of a complaint that a product is defective and defeats the whole purpose of the product, the Genius Baby Company is is not the least bit perturbed ... it must be the customer who is lying, blind or mischievous.

The BEST for newborn babies...they love the contrast and are very engaged.

Kept my 2 month old attention really well. Only complaint is the musical panda bear quality is horrible.
