I originally bought this for timing some plant grow lights, but the more it asked me to set up, the less I trusted it. The box and webpage said it worked with Alexa; thats not entirely true. It DOES work with Alexa, if you download a shady proprietary Chinese-made app with bad translations. Not only that, but the app REQUIRES that you enable wifi, precise location, and bluetooth before giving it your wifi password WITH location data. I did some digging on reddit, and apparently Gosund products have a habit of racking up 600 megabyte/month data usage, which is a clear indicator that these devices are doing something more than just binary on/off switches for the plugs. Im instead going with TP-Link smart strips, because I dont particularly want my home to be filled with Chinese spyware.

I love being able to plug in multiple devices in one area. I dont have many plugs in my house and this has been a game changer. Not only can I use the USB ports for extra electronics, but I have more available plugs for all my entertainment devices.

The outlet works good just install the app Gosund add the device using the app following the instructions in the users manual in the box and that was it, really cool

The product did not work. I followed all the instructions and even called my wifi provider but still did not work.

I like the smartplug because I can now turn my lamp on and off by using my phone or Alexa. I only gave it 4 stars because the directions are awful. If you order this product, use YouTube for quick and easy setup. I couldnt use the app that came with directions to successfully set up the plug. I had to use the app given to me by YouTube. So great buy once you get it setup. I would actually buy another one if I find I need it.

I cant get this device connected, and in the attempt, had to download a very strange app that seems pretty much only to want access to EVERYTHING on my phone including the camera? Instructions tell you to download the app but dont give you the name; instructions are very unclear and also written in such a way that makes them difficult to read. Unfortunately I waited to try to set this up until after the return window had passed.

Needs to be a 5GHz not a 2.4GHz. This should be annotated in the description. Voltage shows 5 on description, however, the 2.4GHz isnt shown until the very LAST note after you click on See product details Fortunately we can return things, but its still frustrating as it gets.

Overall is a good device. A bit little and can only be place vertically. Plugs are too close to each other so if you are an apple user or need to connect tech devices be aware that you may not be able to use all the plugs. Good quality.
