This is nice compact little power strip with some smart features built in. I will preface this by saying I have not tested the smart functionality yet since I didn’t really need it for that. What I was more interested in was a compact on-the-wall power strip that wouldn’t take up too much space. I will note that the instructions that came with this power strip aren’t the best. As far as the power strip functionality is concerned, it seems to work great. I am happy that it comes with built in surge protection; that helps set my mind at ease a little when plugging in electronics. As far as build quality and functionality, this little power strip seems to work great and be well put together. It does have three USB’s along the top, which is a really nice addition. I also like that there is a little stabilizer peg built in that inserts into the ground pin of the unused outlet. This definitely helps with stability when plugging and unplugging items. So far, in power strip only mode, it seems to be working great. I have no complaints for the price point, especially considering the built in smart home functionality.

It’s ok for price and functionality. The app is add supported, which is kind of annoying.

Out of the blue it stopped connecting to the wifi. I’ve reset my modem and router. I reset the device several times and nothing. It has power just cannot get the device to show in the device so I’m back to unplugging and plugging devices again.

I like how I was able to connect this product to Alexa. It features a built-in surge protector and outlet timer. I used it to remotely control and turn off my laptop and phone charger. One side can be on while the other side is off. Both sides can on together if you stuff plugged on them.

The app wanted access to my WiFi, location, camera, and Bluetooth before attempting to pair with my phone, so I was concerned for my privacy. Asking for access to WiFi was expected since it is app controlled, but why would it need my camera? It didnt have a QR code for scanning. Bluetooth? Im not aware of any Bluetooth features. Ultimately, it didnt find my network despite my repeated attempts. Sometimes I wonder if these devices are cheaply priced so that the manufacturer will get something more valuable from the customer: their data.

The Gosund app is near impossible to re-link to Alexa if theres a problem. Also near impossible to set a password for a Gosund account. Will cause hours of frustration
