The idea of these is great. I work from home and intend to use one on my office computer so that I can power cycle it for those rare occassions when it becomes inaccessable. 1 of the 4 I received will not power up. Its built-in LED never lights up. Im torn between sending all 4 back unless perhaps the seller will replace just the 1 bad one. A little disappointing. But the ones that work are great.

It worked for a day, next day it had to be programmed again. So basically you have to go through the whole process every time you want to use it, which defeats it purpose.

does not work with 5G router

I bought this smart plug to control a floor lamp that I bought that doesnt allow me to replace the light bulb. The smart plug was easy to set up and allows me to use my Echo devices to turn the light on and off using my voice. It works very well and Im happy with my purchase.

First instruction step requires you to disable your 5ghz wifi on your router and setup a 2.6ghz network. Why would anyone want to do this? Reminds me of early 2000 websites stating “best viewed on Netscape 3.0”

They operate under 2.5 G. When using wifi- you have to downgrade the network to 2.5 g from 5 g.

These smart plugs provide great flexibility when used with the GoSund app. It can be turned on or off instantly or by a timer or based upon a schedule. Can also be switched manually from the switch on the side. They also work great with both Alexa and Google Home. I label each one so that it is easy to remember which name to use when controlling from Alexa or Google. Ive been using these plugs without any issues for about 4 years now. Great value for the money.

I mainly use this smart socket to turn my AC on before I get home to come home to a nicely cooled room. Although it was a little annoying to have to set it up on 2.4hz connection once it’s set up it is amazing!

Product requires you to sign up for the gosund app to install the product then pair with google home. 27 attempts have bombed out to bring switch into the Home Group... only purchased to work with Nest/Home... less than worthless since Ill never get the hour of my wasted time back.
