This is probably the best most convenient way for me to schedule the lights for my reptiles. Govee is really good.

Took me a while (senior) to get hooked up to Alexa and still having to say turn o or off outlet #1 or outlet #2. Instead of location. Work in process. Very small print in instructions, would like a bigger font

Finally got the right product as described. I needed Bluetooth capability as I dont have Internet access. But For this product to work, you must have location/gps turned on. I do have issue with this as Im a very private person and have such controls turned off to the best if my ability.

I recently received an echo show as a gift. This was my first experience with smart products, so I wanted to give its features a try. The first thing I turned to was a few plugs so that I could automatically turn things off when I leave the room or the house. Initially I tried a different brand that has great reviews, but as soon as I got them, I realized how awful they were - they were huge, didn’t have Bluetooth, and were a pain to connect. Govee to the rescue! These are like a luxury item in comparison to those. The Govee plugs are so easy to set up, the app just works, and has more features than I know what to do with. You can choose how you want to pair them (BT or Wifi), and the process is more or less automatic from there. You can set timers. Oh, and a feature I didn’t think I cared about quickly became my favorite one when I remembered how often I need to manually reset my router. With the other plugs, I would still have to get up and go unplug and re-plug everything in. With the Govee, even if WiFi is down it can connect via Bluetooth, so resetting it is just as straightforward as it would be if the WiFi wasn’t out. I’ve never had an issue with BT range - my phone and echo are probably ~40 feet from the router, through some doors and through a brick wall. It’s a small, but welcome convenience that I never want to live without again. I’ve had these for about 3 months now, and so far I haven’t had a single issue. My only “complaint” is that I wish they tracked power usage. I have a power strip from another brand that does this, and while it’s not needed, it is nice to know. If I can see where the bulk of my power usage is coming from, then I can be more mindful about what appliances are running and when. All in all, I recommend giving these a shot. I had an issue with another Govee product (I say issue, but really it was a that they didn’t fit where I intended to use them), and their customer service was incredibly proactive in reaching out to me and rectifying the problem even though it was well past my return window. I feel good about my purchase and love knowing that if anything were to come up, the Govee team will be there to help.

I love these things! Theres so much you can do with them. I basically automated water changes in 3 of my aquariums with this 4 pack and have 1 programmed with the easy simple anyone could figure it out timer in the govee app. No more pulling pins and winding dials and guessing times. You can set it to come on and go off every minute as i believe theres as many programmable on off timer slots as there are minutes in 24 hours. Not sure exactly cause who would need something like that but I do have 1 receptacle with 14 cycles on and off. I have even had 1 hooked up outside at my spring box to run a light and pump with just a plastic housing to keep it out of direct rain and its been working flawlessly since I got it. I did spray as much dielectric spray as I could through the receptacle slots and coated the prongs and female end of my extension cord dialectic grease but honestly if it broke tomorrow I wouldnt be made cause its been through a lot of rain and hot humid days this summer. Im gonna run a permanent line in conduit to the spring box this fall so this is a temporary thing but it works. The possibilities for the wifi controlled power receptacles, switches, plugs etc. are great and you can get really creative with your setups and at a decent price point which is unheard of now days. Ive also heard good things about the kasa products so maybe check into them to but I honestly never have cause I didnt hear about them til after I had already ordered these.

I used the outlets to turn on lights and a fan in a hard to reach place. Each outlet is separately controlled and is easily named and renamed. Installation went quickly and smoothly as did connecting it to Alexa. Alexa turned on and off each outlet as expected. Very happy thus far with the ease of use and ease of connecting to Alexa.

I just use Bluetooth to control the switch, both plug is use in my room only, one plug I use it to turn on Raspberry PI3 with OSMC as a remote, I turn off the device within the software, but cant remotely turn it on, so I bought this just to do that, even though have to press off twice then press on is better then have to walk up to turn on the pi every time, I also use the phone to control the OSMC, so it became a universal remote control. 1 plug use it to auto turn on and off a 1.7cu ft small refrigerator for storing my makeup and some soda, have it set to turn off 1 hour after on for 2 hours, even the refrigerator is turn off, the temperature will remain, this will help with icing up, cause no matter what setting I use the fridge will have icing around the little freezer compartment. since I have set this up, no more icing up, dont know it would save some electricity by reducing the time but it surely save me some cleaning work. By the way I use an old phone laying around to control the plug, also I think the app need Android 7 or higher, cause I try to use an even older phone with Android 5 cant install the app. For the setting, it was confusing, have to go different part to set up one thing, if you only set up 1 timer then is easy, but if want to set up more timer to the same device have to go to different part to do it, it doesnt have the setting for turn on and off every etc... , have to manually set up every one, so I have to set up 8 timer just to do that, but it get the job done at the end, and I like it has Bluetooth just in case the wifi down, so I bought another set.

This is a great item that works good. Easy to use. I just wish they would’ve been smart enough to put the outlets further apart so you can plug two items into it. The outlets are right in the middle of the cube.
