GRAVE BEFORE SHAVE™ Cigar Blend Beard Pack (Cigar/Vanilla Scent)

Works well, although my wife thinks I smell like a scented candle because of the vanilla scent. That said, she only smells it when she kisses me, but no one else around me picks up the scent. So you dont have to worry about any of your macho guy friends saying you smell like a cupcake, unless you let them kiss you as well. There are so many different scents to choose from out there, but I knew I didnt want woodsy, and neither of these is woodsy. I cant stand the smell of patchouli and I had to read through a lot of comments to make sure this one didnt have that ingredient, like many of the others do. So I hope my confirmation here helps someone else who shares my disdain for patchouli. The oil is great for conditioning my beard, as well as for a pre-shave for the rest of my face. If you dont use oil as a pre-shave, you should.

Love the smell and how well this product makes course beard hair feel. I like the oil better than the paste only because it seems to wash off your hands easier

I would just like to touch on the scent of this beard oil. As most people know the scent of essential oils change and can smell significantly different on each persons skin. For me it did smell like a root beer float in the bottle...until I put it on. Once I put it on I get a strong and pleasant sophisticated cigar smell with undertones of vanilla and spice. One of my favorites. The is absolutely no doubt that this is a cigar based scent.

Easily my favorite scent of the many oils ive tried from different brands. I prefer a thicker oil but i will continue to buy this for those Special occasions. More Vanilla scent than Cigar, if youre concerned about smelling like an ashtray, dont be!

I really only started trying to grow a beard now that Im in my late 40s. Ive tried a few different products, but right now Grave Before Shave is my favorite. I love the smell. The oil isnt too oily, the balm is nice and firm (and unlike another product Im using right now, doesnt melt or liquefy.) It really moisturizes my beard, makes it manageable, and especially in the early days, helps reduce that new-beard itch. I highly recommend this.

Smells like Snickerdoodle cookies. I love it, but the fiance finds it a little overwhelming.

Both the beard balm and oil smell great they smell nothign like tobacco of any sort though it smells more like a rootbeer float candle. It is a very rich and sweet smell but all around pleasant. The scent is long lasting it fades a bit but the scent easily lasts 24 hours. They both add a nice shine to your facial hair and make it feel amazing. I like both but I prefer the oil due to its ease of application. I have tried out a few other balms and oils for my long goatee and this ranks up at the top. I will definitely be trying more GBS products in the future. I think the next scent Im going to try is the bay rum people seem to really enjoy that one as well.

Great product! A little goes a long way and it has a noticeable, positive effect on the awesomeness on my beard. Great scent too!
