I am aware that the head is small and not the size of an adult human skull however, it never claimed to be that. The dimensions were clear when I purchased the product. I only mention it because I saw a few complaints online regarding the size. The skull is beautifully crafted. As for durability, I am not sure. I use it just for decoration and it serves its purpose. If you plan on dropping or hitting it, it may not hold up.

If youre like me and youre willing to spend money frivolously on cool novelty items, then I recommend this if youre looking for a very durable, detailed skull. I love polyresin material, and if you do also, then you wont be disappointed. Even though the description tells you the dimensions, youll still probably open it up and say gee, its smaller than I expected. But still very cool skull!

It looks really good, but it is REALLY small compared to a real skull. I do wish hit was bigger. (I needed it for a production of Hamlet.) It would be a good size if you just wanted it to sit on a table or shelf for a Halloween decoration and didnt want it to be presented as a real skull.

I bought this skull because my wife wouldnt let me buy a real one. I guess I cant blame her, since those cost $1000 or more. I was writing a novella entitled Yorick in which a woman finds a skull half-buried in a riverbank...and then she starts to go mad. I needed something that was sufficiently creepy to carry around just like the woman in my story (store, restaurants, gym, work etc), and this turned out to be just what I needed. I could feel the warmth of its gaze. I started talking to it. It bothered people...a lot. First, its smaller than you think. I am guessing the stated dimensions are accurate and that my estimate of what those dimensions look like are just off. But its about the size of a large apple. Id say, even if it wasnt damaged, the price @ $18 is too high. But, then again, I am guessing that is also pre-Halloween gouging. The bigger issue is that as soon as I got it out of the packaging (and it is packaged very well) I could see the finish was rubbed off in several places. Upon touching those areas, more of the finish just came off on my finger. Its like they got hydro-dipped or sprayed with the finish but whatever the finish is, is very thin and flakey. I think they need to hit these with a thick coat of polyurethane after the finish or something. Whatever the case, I am sending it back.

I thought this skull would be bigger. Thought it was adult size skull . It’s more like a small child’s skull. Okay to hang I guess!

We bought this as a replacement for a life size adult resin skull that was used to hold headphones. This may be the size of a toddler head. Im not sure where they got their measurements but we measured 5 1/2 x 3.75 x 3.

This looks and feels great. Well worth the price. Much better than what I could find in stores.

This was honestly much better than I expected for the price. As another reviewer suggested, the skull is fragile, and will break if dropped (yup, I accidentally verified that the hard way!). I don’t mind though - it means the skull feels more like ceramic than plastic. It has good weight to it, and is about the height of a soda can. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the coloring, but a bottle of spray paint fixed that right up :)
