Gutermann Sew-All Thread 1094 Yards-Black (24357)

I have been making masks and this spool has over 1,000 yards on one spool. Regular thread has only about 300 yards on a spool and costs about 3$ to 5$ a spool

Beat thread Ive found. However, Gutermann Mara 100 (commercial version of sew all) can be purchased in this same size (big) in 400 colors online at ~$3. Wawak can translate the retail color number to the mara number too. So I tend to purchase that now.

I use it for almost everything and it always holds up well. Since switching I havent gone back.

I had always used Coats & Clarks thread up until around 20 +years ago. I was work I f in a fabric store,and noticed how popular this thread was with seamstresses and,quilters. I would chat with the customers,and,was told how Coats was not strong enough and left too much lint. There was a sale on thread so I decided to buy a combo pack. Wow ! Before I was cleaning g my machi e constantly due to lint build up and, yes, the repairs on garments,were always happening. Since switching I do not have those issues. It is worth every cent. I can use this for hand or machine sewing with no issues at all. I donated all the other thread brands.

I use this thread for stringing feathers to a central yarn base while making lei. It works well when pulling it tight. Doesnt break very easily.

Gutermann is my go-to thread. Its great for sewing, quilting, bag making. All around my favorite thread.

I always thought thread was thread until I tried this. Gutermann is a quality product. No lint on my sewing machine, no snags and no breaks.

Its white! I hesitated purchasing this because the product photo appeared to have a varrigated thread. Not to worry, its white thread!

Terrific all-purpose thread. Wont shrink or melt. Launders well. Much stronger than cotton and wont deteriorate as fast as cotton. The only thing I dont use it on is delicate silks. It can be expensive to have your seams stronger than your fabric.

So far, this thread seems pretty solid. It seems like a quality thread - thicker and more like polyester. There is no fuzziness to the thread. I was just having problems with it on my sewing machine as it kept bunching up, but that might have been my machine. I will update later after more use.
