Hangman Products S-2040A No Stud TV Hanger Mount TVs up to 55-Inch

Just got the hangman no stud TV mount for my 32inch television. Starting with the Pros: 1. Good thing is that I didnt have to drill a hole in my rented apartment for mounting my television. 2. Easy to install and can be done easily by 1 person. It comes with a small alignment tool that tells me whether the bar mounted on the wall is aligned correctly or not. Below are the Cons and the reasons why I deducted 2 stars: 1. The screws given in the package to mount the bar against the television were of no use. None of the screws fitted my 32 inch Panasonic television. The package comes with multiple screws with the hope that atleast 1 type of screw would fit the television. Luckily the 4 screws left after unscrewing the TV stand came in handy and I was able to reuse those screws for my TV mount bar. Just pure luck else I would have been forced to buy new screws from the market. 2. Doesnt give you the option to tilt the television and that can be a problem for some people. Also I would be afraid to mount more than a 40 inch television using this option. 3. Price of 30 dollars can be argued considering none of the screws provided were of any use. Overall not bad for a mount option that does not require drilling a hole in a rented apartment wall and considering its good enough for my 32 inch television.

The best and easy way to hang tv , especially for rental

Well! Its been 48hrs and my 42 TV hasnt come crashing down yet so Id say so far, so good! I really had some doubts and I really hope Im not jinxing it by leaving an early review. My tv is one heavy a$z plasma circa 2009 weighing in at 53 pounds and some change. The Hangman is rated up to 80 pounds so I know that gives me 27 pounds of the grace area but it sure felt like I was thumbing my nose at the laws of physics upon initial hanging. My only gripe so far is a minor one concering the safety cable. The slot they have in the bar that attaches to the TV that the safety cable is to be passed through is very thin. And the body of the eyelet and the body of the end of the safety cable are nearly the same. So in order to get the eyelet to pass through the slot, one has to get inventive so that the other end of the cable doesnt get yanked through the slot if the unfortunate happens. I will update this review in the weeks and months to come

Ok.. First off, let me say I was super skeptical about this actually working, because frankly, its just a little metal bar with about 21 tiny little 1 inch nails holding up a 30-80 lb TV. Let alone I am the complete opposite of being handy, so I wasnt sure about installation. I have to say, this was a super easy install and even comes with a mini level to make sure its up straight. Took maybe 15-20 minutes to hang my 40 lb 42 TV and hookup all my cables. Its been 2 months now and hasnt fallen off the wall yet, so Id say this was a winner. Also, more affordable and less of a hassle than most TV mounts, plus its great if you are renting and dont/cant drill into wall studs, as I dont have very many in my house. Highly recommend this product and will probably get a few more

Its worth noting that my use of these is a bit unique. I have a 65 Toshiba TV, and I enjoy it very much. My apartment wouldnt allow me to drill or tap into the studs in my living room wall so I was unable to use a standard wall mount hanger for my TV. So heres what I did... I actually reached out to Hangman Products directly, and let me start by saying that they were very friendly to communicate with. Since these are meant for 55 TVs and smaller, they do not work particularly well with anything larger than that. The reason for this is that TVs larger than 55 typically have the inputs and outputs facing outward from the back of the TV rather than downward. So for these, the cable clearance was a concern, but also the weight. Each of these is rated to hold 80 lbs. My TV is approximately 75 pounds or so. This is pushing the limit a bit, and made me a bit uncomfortable. But what about using two of them on the same TV? I can confirm that it works! Hangman Products stated the design limitations and weight concerns above when I spoke with them, but in theory, if the hangers could be spaced apart well enough that each was holding equal, or close to equal load, then it should have no problem holding. I risked my nice expensive TV to feed my curiosity, and the cat is still alive! I made sure to verify my measurements exactly multiple times and checked my math, and had my math checked, and mounted these into the walls with their suspiciously tiny picture nails. Trust me, when you start hammering these things in, you start getting quite concerned and thinking These puny things that I can bend between my fingers are going to hold up my giant TV???. Somehow, through science, physics, witchcraft, black magic, or some previously undisclosed alien technology, they do so just fine. Mine has been hanging on the wall since December, 2016, and it hasnt budged even slightly. To solve the cord problem, which is a real issue, I ran my HDMI cables into right angle adapters and filled up every input on the TV. Then I ran those cables into a project box that I built and used HDMI, TOSLINK, and other wall plates, and mounted it underneath the TV. So if I ever need to switch inputs, its right there under the TV, which has turned out to be easier than it was when the TV was sitting on the top of the entertainment center. OVERALL: Great product. Ingenius. Im a believer, they work. Its a tough breath to take before you let your hard earned money rest on these seemingly puny things, but breathe easy, these wont let you down... UPDATE (3/12/2020): Glad that this was helpful to so many folks. Id like to update that we have since moved from our apartment and into a new home. While uninstalling these mounts, the screws had to really be pried loose to come off, they hadnt moved a millimeter and were solidly still in the wall. I also decided to reuse them in our master bedroom in the new house for the big TV using the same technique described in my original review, and that TV has been hanging on the reinstall of the same mounts since 2017 and its still firmly in place. These really are awesome!

It’s easy to assemble, instructions are easy to follow and it’s very sturdy. Just what I needed something easy to follow and it only took just a few minutes to do.

I was skeptical because every single review gave it 5 stars. Now I see why! Quite literally the easiest thing in the world to do. I’m not a handy person and I did this in 10 mins. So much better than the extending arm mounts. I wish I would’ve hung my other TVs this way. Couldn’t be happier with it. No stud required. You won’t regret it.

Product lived up to other positive reviews. Probably took me 25 minutes to mount ( and I did not rush). Used to mount a 26 inch monitor/TV above my desk to provide more working space without the monitor stand. Well worth the time, effort and cost. If I can install something without a cloud of obscenities floating over the house it has to be easy. If you want a simple, affordable mount this might work for you too.

I love this! Didn’t take long at all and was easy. The only hard part was me trying to get the tv bracket into the wall bracket by myself but I got it on my 3rd try! This is a TCL Roku 50’ inch TV, about 20 LBS.this is super strong and durable. Also disclaimer- that is not a human on the side ☠️I promise

Extremely easy to set up. Please still purchase even if you feel intimidated about doing it by yourself. Directions are easy to follow. It took me less than 1 hour to set up by myself. There is also a Youtube video to follow along if you search on Youtube. Best Wishes!
