> 3 dayUsed this with propane torch on small crack in cast Iron. Clean well, apply generous amount of Stay-Silv flux, get it to a dull red heat and apply the silver solder.

> 3 dayDoesnt come in original packaging - just some wire zip tied in a loop. Without manufacturers packaging, I have no way to know that this is really Harris Safety-Silv. Could be anything! Picture clearly shows it in the manufacturers container.

> 3 dayThis is top-quality material, but dont be deceived by the picture. The container is very small and you only get 31 grams. I think you can find 56% silver brazing alloy far less expensive elsewhere. I was in a hurry.

> 3 dayGreat stuff for brazing and makes some very strong joints. Make sure you use a torch or commercial grade soldering iron.

Greater than one weekOverpriced, but flows like butter on copper with an acetylene torch.

13-04-2025I have used this silver solder for decades. My dad introduced it to me and he used it to butt solder the ends of metal cutting bandsaw blades made from blade stock. This is an almost unbelievably strong joint and must flex also. I have used it for many things. It is very good soldering dissimilar metals also. Brass to iron, etc, etc, etc. Thank you.
