I almost sent this back. I was frustrated that it was not working with the app QR code it had on the instructions and looked for the HBN network and saw that Smart Life network popped up. I did research and realized I had to download the Smart Life app and it worked like a charm.

If you are looking for a great outdoor tool to plug multiple things into that need/could use the assistance of a timer this is the perfect product for you! I have my outdoor Christmas lights plugged into this steak/extension/timer. You download the device’s app to your phone and can easily schedule when you want your Christmas lights to turn on and off. There is also a “power button” that you can tap in the app to turn them on/off if you wish to do it that way. It’s so user friendly and helpful! I would recommend to everyone. Im so happy to have found a product that can easily help me turn my Christmas lights off and on without having to go outside in the cold to plug/unplug them everyday.

I purchased one of these last year and loved it, so this year I bought a second. They manage our holiday lights beautifully! I love the app functionality from my phone, the Alexa comparability and the way I can sync multiple devices together.

The little flaps on outlet cover make it difficult to plug multiples things in at a time. Also if the plug has any bit of bulk, it won’t fit all the way into the plug.

I attempted to use this with our outdoor Christmas lights this year. I tested it before actually using it outdoors to make sure it would function as I expected and everything worked perfectly. A few weeks later when I was ready to set up our display, the outlet would not even power up, after checking the circuit breaker to make sure it was not the problem, I determined the issue was in the electronics that ran the relay for power. Needless to say it is a great idea but the dependability is lacking in the one I purchased. The price was much less than what I would expect to pay for an outdoor smart plug and I guess sometimes you get what you pay for. The plastic is very cheep feeling, and there is not much weatherproofing for outdoor wet conditions. When it did work, the wi-fi range was good and the response from Alexa was quick.

Reset everything, tried everything, app would not connect to plug and plug would not connect to wifi. Returned and bought another one compatible with our alexa

This product is great in theory. However, it is super limited on what can be plugged in. The plastic door covers stick out therefore limiting you to only plugging in things with very small or narrow plug heads. We could not plug in 5 of our 6 blow up characters and none of our outdoor light strands fit. Sadly returning it. It would have been great if there was just a little space in between the outlets on it and those plastic doors were either set back or designed differently.

The mobile app needs some work. Seemed to lose connectivity and became unresponsive

Just received and set it ip. This smart plug looks solid. Default connection method doesn’t work for me, thus one star off. Switching to EZ mode (via AP) works for me. Works only Alexa not Google which is a pity. Lucky I have both so that’s fine for me. Might update this review for durability.
