> 3 dayI am a regular day hiker doing 8-14miles. I bought this backpack for its design that allows very good ventilation on the back. No more sticky-sweaty backpack :) Easily carry a gallon of water, still has just enough space for a jacket and lunchbox. The metal frame keeps it well balanced. It features all the adjustments that one can desire, chest, shoulder and hip straps. All very well built. Chest strap has a built in whistle. It comes with a rain cover that stealthily goes into a zip pocket at the base, which also doubles up as a cushion.

> 3 dayI’m 5’5” and this is a great size for me. Have used it as a carry on item on a flight as well as a daytime hike backpack.

> 3 dayGreat bag for day trips! I wish it had more compartments, but I like pockets. Super light weight and able to carry full size blender sport bottles on each side, with plenty of space for snacks, jackets, and other odds and ends one might need. It does have a taper designed when full, with a more bulbous shape on the bottom. Do wish it was consistent from top to bottom. But no biggie. Sits comfortable on me at 5 feet tall. So far it has handled a dozen day hikes without issue. I would buy again!

Greater than one weekGood weight for the size and frame. Could be perfect if not for two things: 1. The side pockets are too short. Using 1L Smartwater bottles, and they’re on the verge of falling out. 2. Lack of a stuff-it pocket. I feel like this is just an up-sell for the 26. For the price you’re still getting a decent pack, but it could easily be much better. The airspeed frame makes this very comfortable for day hike loads, but I ended up sticking with my shining Viper 13 I was trying to replace.

> 3 dayOsprey thinks of the essentials and extras. Used in a day hike near the 14’ers in Colorado. Great ventilation against my back. A sudden downpour required using the convenient rain cover, fast to use via access in the bottom of the pack

Greater than one weekI bought this pack after reading many reviews. I wanted a pack enough that was big enough for a long hike but also one that did not look ridiculous to bring on a short day hike. When I came across this one I was instantly smitten. It arrived right before I was scheduled to go on a 6 mile hike the next day. The pack was lighweight, it held my snacks for the hike, my wallet, my hydroflask and polaroid camera all in the main compartment. It was nice because there is a small compartment in the front where you can put your sunglasses and its supposed to be antiscratch. I kept my sunglasses on so I did not get to try that feature on. I also kept my hydroflask in the main big compartment even though it fits in the side mesh pocket for watter bottles I just was a bit nervous that my hydroflask would stretch out that mesh part since it was a bit of a tight squeeze. I loved this pack - it was easy to carry, it was a hot day and there was breathability on my back despite the 6 mile hike I was able to feel a nice breeze on my back carrying the pack the entire time. I would definitely recommend. Next is just buying the water reservoir for it! (it does not come with one).

> 3 dayVery happy! Makes a great daypack. Keeps the pack off the back so lots of circulation, which is especially good in the hot Southern California heat.
