Hikelite 18 Hiking Backpack , Aloe Green

The backpack only has 2 pockets plus a little rain fly pocket. Would have been nice to add pockets on the waist belt and maybe extra front pocket too.

This pack it perfect, except for one problem-where the mesh back covers the frame at the bottom corners, it causes pilling on T-shirts. I tried sewing up some pieces to fit over the straps and cover the corners, it’s not super classy but gets the job done - it’s just a shame that that was necessary.

I purchased this backpack for a full day hike and it was absolutely perfect. It held all of my items with ease and I barely ever felt it was there. The special features like the built in rain cover, the soft lined pocket for your phone, the clasp for your keys, and the wide side pockets that hold my 40 oz water bottle perfectly all make this an amazing backpack. Do not hesitate, buy this backpack now. It’s comfort, durability, and versatility are unmatched!!

The quality is excellent like most Osprey products. I do have to return it because the shoulder straps are connected in a way that prevents them from getting comfortably wide enough to sit lower on the shoulders instead of pinching my neck. Also the hard frame is neither low enough or wide enough to be comfortable. It presses on my mid back and the bottom edge is curved in a concave way that is designed to spoon your back but the corners arent wider than my back so they just press into it. Ill return this one for sure and maybe try the skarab hydration pack instead with no frame. Its a bummer because the ventilation on this would work well in Texas.

Great pack as advertised

Love this pack!! Used it for the first time for half dome. It was perfect, held enough snacks, and water. And yes it is compatible with a a camel bak bladder! And the breathable back of the pack was a life saver!!!

It works well for what I wanted. The frame is small so the bottom of it is relatively high up on the back and can cause some minor irritation.

Just enough pockets to carry my important stuff

So let me first start off by saying that the reason this bag only gets 4 stars is because of the organization. They only give you 3 zippered compartments. The main, the small on on the top maybe large enough for a phone or eye glass case then the one on the bottom for the rain guard if you should even count that. I understand that this is a hiking bag but why not give us a large ziped compartment on the front where we can put some small things or atleast some internal zip pouch that can be used for things like passports.

If youre looking for a pack purely for hitting the trail for the day, look no further. You can easily use this for an entire sunrise to sunset hike if you pack light enough. I used it on a couple of day hikes over the weekend and I was very impressed by the frame and suspension system. The pack is made of high quality yet lightweight material. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a solid hiking backpack in this volume range.
