> 3 dayI got this product because my wife and bought for me a beautiful cutting board made of different types of wood. We have other items that I have oiled with olive oil. I wanted this oil because of its ultimate safety in using. While it darkens the wood, it is much less than olive oil. Used on my new cutting board and one made special for me by my neighbor, a bread cutting item my neighbor made with thin wood slats in a wood tray that catches crumbs below where you cut, custom made wooden spoons and spatulas. Most of this had never been oiled so the first coat was sucked right up. Even after second coat I let items sit to dry and hardly any oil was left on surface.

> 3 dayThis cutting board oil is top of the line in my opinion. It does not change the wood color, does not leave it sticky, not too heavy. It keeps the cutting board looking like new, plus I use their conditioning oil to make sure my board is taken care of properly. Great oil!

> 3 dayI oil my wooden utensils and cutting boards maybe every 2 months or when they seem dry. I let soak overnight. The oil does the job. No noticeable scent. Would repurchase.

Greater than one weekI used this oil after I sanded down a 40-year-old artisan-made cutting board, and now it looks like new. It revitalized the surface and will keep wood looking at its best if used consistently. I also used it on a wooden ladle and some wooden knife handles. Everything is brought back to life. As with any oil, be prepared to wash your hands well, and also the outside of the bottle before putting it away. When you work with oil, it gets EVERYWHERE.

> 3 dayWe have been using various wood treatment products for the butcher block top on our rolling shelf unit, and with no success. This seems to be what weve been hoping to find.

> 3 dayI think it’s a little high priced for mineral oil, but it’s competitive for Amazon. Plastic bottle was well sealed, so there was no problem with the container leaking. It’s not made in China, and that is important for any food or food grade product (IMO). It had no odor and it seemed to be very pure mineral oil. Warning: it comes out quicker than you think it will when applying! My old cutting board was badly in need of conditioning & my new bamboo cutting board looks great after applying. If you were going to oil an entire butcher block table or countertop, you will probably need a larger amount. The manufacturer offers lots of helpful, detailed information here on Amazon about using the product & how often you should oil your cutting boards. I discovered that I can use it for my cast iron cookware too! So overall I am happy with the product & the price.

> 3 dayI got this to try on a cheap little cutting board I got from Daiso. The thing soaked up a ton of oil and has a slight sheen now. Since I got the board as a disposable little piece for herbs, I’m not going to waste anymore oil on it. I think two coats should be enough to give it some seal and prevent bacteria growth. My only quip is the sticker barcode label is smack dab right on top of the instructions. Granted the product usage is not exactly rocket science, it’s still shows a complete disregard for consumers. I can look up usage instructions online, but what if it’s someone who has issues using technology or don’t have internet access? The product is fine, which was why I didn’t deduct any stars, but it’s still an annoyance.
