> 3 dayI love this phone, and it does absolutely everything perfectly. My only issue is that the receiver is somewhat weak and frequently tells me Im roaming what Im not. People with Apple phones or Samsung phones around me are showing four stars while my phone is saying E, for Edge reception.

> 3 dayThe phone itself is beautiful but, sadly, I was unable to complete the initial setup. It would get stuck on one screen for a while and then go back to the beginning of the setup process all over again. Spent a considerable amount of time with Huawei customer service but with no luck. Huawei is banned by our government and as far as I know, Google has dropped them. I didnt realize all this when ordering the phone, and I believe that may have had something to do with not being able to complete the setup. Ironically, the customer service rep said you shouldnt really buy foreign international phones. If thats the case, why does Huawei have American customer service.....confusing. Anyway, purchase at your own risk!

> 3 dayI live in Southern California with AT&T carrier. This phone picks up 4G signal averaging 50 to 65 MB down and 30+ up when outside on the street; but when you are deep inside a supermarket it drops to like 3G speed of up to 6 MB down. That is due to the phone only having LTE band 2, 4 and 5 and lacks 12 and 17 for deeper building penetration and falls back to slower bandwidth. At home I can get 4G 50 MB down and about 3 to 4 MB up. For daily normal usage this is all fine. I am able to make or get calls anywhere I go. I got this phone JSN-L23 from lifeline786 and came with an US USB charger, which was a nice surprise. The clear, soft case that came with the phone doesnt have perfect cut out; so I bought my own perfect case from Spigen. Overall this phone has a nice weight and premium feel, and at $207 it is a real bargain. The call quality and ear piece are loud and clear or grade A. The speaker is decent and loud enough or grade B+. It doesnt have a lot of bloatware and I was actually able to uninstall more than half dozen apps. It has a great screen and responsive. With light use the battery can last more than two days. However it does have a one weakness which could bother some users. The WIFI on this particular model is not dual band. It doesnt support 5Ghz WIFI. If your modem has dual band 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz, it only connects to 2.4Ghz. I am only able to get about 27 MB to 35 MB down. My 5-year old phone can go up to 85 to 90 MB down. It is not a deal breaker because even with slower WIFI the phone is still pretty snappy and responsive. I mean who really needs 95 MB download speed on a cell phone. If this lack of dual band WIFI doesnt bother you, then I think at this price it is a steal.

> 3 dayThis is my second Huawei product. I like that for the price point, you get a phone that can stand up to higher priced phones from the Big Three. I tend to abuse my phones as Im a maintenance man and my phones are exposed to dust, vibration, and scratches and drops. Screen: decent resolution. Has features such as blue light reduction. Id suggest getting a screen protector as my last Huawei phone was prone to small scratches. Standard protections should be fine. In the middle of the screen. At the top, the camera is located. Occasionally content is blocked in this upper area. As if the screen doesnt take in account that the camera is located here. Minor, minor issue. Only a problem occasionally when looking at PDF blueprints and manuals. Body: I believe its glass. I could be wrong. But it is beautiful. I love the placement of the fingerprint reader. I added my two pointer fingers and a secondary finger. Even if I scratch up my hands or have glue on them, its fast and responsive. Having the third offset finger really helps in this. Camera: I havent used the camera as much as my Huawei Mate, but so far its AI camera is of quality. Very sharp and detailed images. Im able to zoom in front distance and take pictures of small lables from a distance. My hands shake sometimes (medical issues, chemical exposure) and the sharpening mode really helps. Specially when zoomed in on text. Wifi/mobile data: There are some areas where I wish the antenna was stronger. The Huawei mate seems to have a faster connection. This may be due to the Mate being a version focused to the USA, and the 8x being an international version. Due to the restrictions the U.s. gov is trying to put on Huawei phones. But, in normal use, I dont have any issues. Occasionally Bluetooth fails, but turning it off then back on, it works perfectly. This may be more to do with my cars connection, and not an actual problem with the phone. I just noticed it happens with Huawei phones more than my old Samsung. All in all, its an excellent phone for most uses. Get a case. Get a screen protector. Youll be 100% happy with it. I just abuse phones so Im slightly more critical. I really wish major brands got hip to the game and made a more durable case. Id love something with more shock proof functions.

> 3 dayi like everything about this phone, i got the blue one. i use the fingerprint reader and it works fantastic, the quality of the screen, the image and the looks of it make this phone look like a $500 and up phone. the battery life is great, the pictures also. buy this phone and believe me, you wont regret it. No need to buy any expensive phone when you already have everything in this Huawei Honor 8x.

> 3 dayI wasnt happy about how Amazon packaged the phone but it showed up undamaged and as advertised. I bought it through MVD to get the correct JSN-L23 so I could use AT&T and I got what I paid for. It came in perfect condition with a screen protector already placed on the screen. It also came with a phone case, charger, head phones and the pin to get the sim tray out. The phone goes over 2 days on a full charge. Way better than the phone I had before.
