This is the first time I have used anything other than fragrance free lotion on my tattoo. I loved this product. Used 2 days after tattoo throughout whole healing process. Kept my tattoo from drying out, wasnt itchy, and was easy to use. Feels a little thick when first taking out of jar, but I just dabbed it on a couple spots then went back and smoothed it over entire tattoo with no problem. I will be using this for all my tattoos moving forward.

Literally the best thing I have ever put on a new tattoo. And it smells good. Love this stuff.

It’s interesting because most of the reviews say that the scent isn’t too overpowering but I would say that’s the only negative thing about it. I can deal with the smell since it works and does a great job but once my tattoo is healed I’ll have to move on to something else that has less of a smell. The product is great though, sensitive nose people- work through it as it’s worth it

Tattoo Goo Pros: Scent (I like it, Eucalyptus-y?) Easy to spread. Thicker than a lotion but easy to spread even on freshly inked sensitive skin Perfect for travel or taking to work/wherever you may want something during a long day Seems good for color Cons: Scent (it has a scent, many products dont and you may not want a smell) Expensive. Over $11 an ounce, even doing thin layers it doesnt last terribly long for larger areas. The cost per ounce and how long it lasts and why I took off the star Lubriderm Pros: Very inexpensive and available everywhere. Im seeing $0.11 per ounce Easiest to spread as its a water based lightweight lotion Scent free, leaves no residue or stickiness or tackiness Great for freshly healed, long term, non tattood skin, any dry areas, if you are only going to get one for cost or simplicity get this one. Cons: None really. It is thinner being a lotion and whether there is anything to it or not, on a fresh tattoo that needs healing I prefer something heavier, a balm or ointment, to feel like Im leaving a slight protective layer (very slight) vs it all just absorbing in and being done. But really, absorbing in and being gone is probably what you actually want so Lubriderm is just really good especially long term as it doesnt leave any perceptive residual residue Hustle Butter Pros: Vegan, Scent Free Color pops (might be psychological) Feels the most protective when applied to a fresh tattoo Feels like it stays around and lasts longer per application Con: Much harder to spread than the others, difficult to get full coverage on larger pieces especially without irritating the skin with the amount of pressure and work needed to spread the product out thin enough. On a fresh tattoo I feel like Im either irritating it with too much spreading, or its on too thick. I dont use it on fresh ones any more due to this. Price is middling at $4.75/oz right now, not bad Aquaphor Pros: Price is very good at $1.35/oz right now, and its available everywhere in different sizes Easy to spread, yet thicker and feels more protective than a lotion. Goldilocks consistency Scent Free Cons: Leaves a little more residual residue than you might want for regular long term use, I think Aquaphor is exceptionally good for fresh and healing tattoos but Lubriderm lotion is my favorite for regular long term use.

Ince yky go from something like Aquaphor to this you will never go back. Infinitely better for the healing process and not nearly as greasy and gross and doesn’t stain clothes as much. Genuinely everyone who’s truly into tattoos uses this stuff, it’s just the best, please get some if you haven’t tried it yet

I bought Hustle Butter just before my 4th tattoo. I started using it about a week before the tattoo once a day, then multiple times/day during the healing process. Now I apply once or twice a day. I followed the same process for my 5th one, but I started applying it to the future site of the tattoo about a month in advance. I think it made a huge difference in how quickly and well they both healed, compared to my first 3 tattoos. Hustle Butter smells great, is easy to apply (especially on slightly damp skin right after a shower), doesnt make a greasy mess or transfer onto clothing/bedding, and moisturizes REALLY well. I had almost no itching on the 5th tattoo. My tattoo artist was really impressed with how well they both healed. I highly recommend!

I was in dire need of a quality aftercare cream for my new tattoo. Ive always used jojoba oil and vitamin E oil mixed and had good results. Living in a MUCH dryer climate now Ive come to find my skin needed something more. Hustle butter entered the room and showed out. My skin LOVES this cream. My newest tattoo is the largest Ive ever gotten and Hustle butter has not disappointed. The smell, feel, and quality of this product is A1. Ill purchase again and recommend.
