The thing is irreversibly dead on arrival. The included battery has mark 2011, spare - 2012. With my own fresh battery, the result is the same - dead as a doornail. Im notifying the seller, tune in.

2 notches above the low-end digital calipers. The large lcd is nice. Looks well put together.

Super easy to use. I wish the buttons were a bit easier to press but overall, its great.

Nicely made and feels solid. The electronic readout makes it easy to determine between metric, fraction and inches.

Work exactly as described. I would stay away from anything cheaper, this is real entry level if you want any sort of accuracy.

Well you got to keep I mind you get what you pay for, but they do the job, its just you can feel the difference between these and a pair the cost a couple hundred bucks. The sliding is no very smooth and it doesnt automatically turn on like most calipers went moved non do they turn off on their own.

This caliper is ehhhhhh ok. It does the job but the movement is sticky and not very smooth. Its ok for the ocassional user like myself but I wouldnt recommend it for daily use in a shop environment.

Im not an engineer and Im not building an airplane, but every few weeks I have to measure something, and this tool fits the bill extremely well. Being a product of the US education system, I appreciate the ability to switch to metric when the need arises. Ive had this for over 8 months now and still going strong on the first battery, so the reviewers that think it eats batteries are IMO, wrong. Nice build quality, great tool to have around. I do wish it were backlit, but Im not usually measuring things in the dark, so its fine. Cant go wrong with this great addition to your rulers drawer.

It replace a very old plastic caliper. I should have replaced the plastic caliper years ago. I would recommend the IP54 to anybody needing a reasonably priced metal caliper.
