This is more like a 10 guage. Coming from a background of pro car audio install world I am used to real 8 guage power wire and this isnt it. Dont expect to pull more than about 40 amps efficiently through this wire.

Small strands so that it is highly flexible. Insulation is of high quality and slightly translucent.

First thing I noticed when I pulled it out of the box was that it was not true for Gage it was more like 6 gauge wire disappointed in the size especially after paying as much as I did for it.
