Processor works perfectly. Chose this CPU over 5950X based on price, purpose (gaming), and support for DDR5 and PCIe 5. I am glad I didnt spend more to get the i9 as I havent really maxed out this i7. First time using an LGA, so I had to read the instructions and watch a video. I did not overclock the CPU yet as I dont need to, but nice to know I can. Runs quite cool at base specs.

She’s a snappy one. You could overclock it, but you won’t need to right away. It chews through everything very quickly.

This thing is a monster. Runs a little hot, but with the proper cooling this beast can be pushed to its limits. Worth money and watch for sales.

It would be nice if theyd kept the same mounts as 1151 or at the very least included a bare minimum push pin cooler while you wait for a bracket adapter for your water cooler but that aside the performance is astounding even with older GPUs like the 1070

Amazon pre-owned never disappoints. The processor works as intended, and I saved some money. Dont hesitate to purchase pre-owned, save yourself some money!!!

Very impressed with how fast this thing is on Windows 11 and it’s not even that expensive for so many cores.

Plugged this into my Asus 690-A Prime motherboard and it booted right up without any issues. Fast, DDR5 support. Will try to overclock and get even more performance.

Processor runs reasonably cool, typically 20c less than my GPU on the same water-cooled loop. I installed Windows 11, and it shows 20 cores. Benchmarking with RDR2 shows a laughable difference from an I7-6700K, which is a 7 year old processor; it was 2-3fps on average. Its all about the GPU folks, the CPU after 7 years makes just about 1% difference.
