Works great. I dont think Ive even made it breath hard yet playing games. FPS is amazing with great graphics card.

Very fast - quite likely the fastest current CPU for gaming purposes, and definitely no slouch in workstation loads. Runs extremely hot though, especially overclocked - your 212 Evo is not going to cut it.

Anything you could need a processor for this thing will do it well. Great for gaming and multi tasking. This generation of processors tend to run a bit hot but a case with good airflow and a decent cooler will take care of it no problem

Actually wanted Rysen 2700, but it doesnt have a built in gpu interface with motherboard.

Cant complain. Everything works fast, its plenty enough for gaming and video editing.

I agonized over which processor to buy. Ultimately, I chose the i7 8700 since I didnt really want to mess around with overclocking. While I always think I will, I never do so I just gave up and bought this processor. I have been very pleased with it. I dont have to worry about heat and it works like a dream on my new ASUS TUF motherboard. ITs a great combination and I an very pleased with it.
