> 3 dayGood book and offers great instruction. Wish there had been more links/reviews for materials to use. Maybe that should be included in a volume 2. Pleased with the book for the price - I got a deal. Would recommend if you are planning to make 1 bowl or many.

Greater than one weekI bought this book for my wife for a birthday present, as she had seen bowls made using this technique. So far, she really likes the book, and has made many different shapes of bowls, using different kinds of rope, and various scraps of fabric.

> 3 dayGot this book and Its A Wrap II for my birthday last month. Have already made a bowl. The technique is not hard to pick up on at all and the directions are clearly written in these books. Each photo shown has detailed instructions including the yardage of clothesline needed to complete the project and the amount of fabric needed for the project too. I cant wait to make place mats next.

Greater than one weekI was looking for more of a new sewing technique. But after looking at the book it was clear that a person that was going to invest a lot of time into sewing the pieces together with a very sophisticated sewing machine was required.

> 3 dayId bought this book because of reviews Id read on the sewing forums. It was more difficult than I thought to find the cotton clothesline than I expected, but once I found some, I havent stopped. Its really addictive - wrapping scrap fabric around the clothesline, then sewing the coil to form baskets of differing shapes. The book is well-written, with lots of illustrations, to make it easy for sewers. Even beginning sewists can be successful - essentially you only need to be able zig-zag to construct your baskets. These baskets make really neat gifts as well - much better than Amish Friendship Bread!

> 3 dayThis is a fascinating book. Explaining very clearly how to wrap, sew, and shape for whatever your project is.
