Its a Wrap: Sewing Fabric Purses, Baskets, and Bowls

I was in the market for an unusual project to work on and I believe I found it! I did have to order a very expensive foot for my sewing machine and I will work on this project sometime in the future when I have more time to devote to it. I have already ordered numerous fabrics to try and look forward to seeing what I can create.

It is a knowledgable book, with bright pictures, and great explanatons. The craft is fun and quick results.

I would like to have seen more purses/bags in this book, but purchased it for the technique. The book covers the process very well. I will keep this book. It could also be a way to do an artful wall hanging.

Some good ideas concerning construction of fabric baskets with numerous photos and diagrams.

Just got this and I can’t wait to get started making stuff with it. Tons of color pictures in it.

Ive had bags of material scraps for years sitting in my closets, taking up space. Now there is a gorgeous, easy-to-understand book that shows what to do with all those and end up with a very creative, one-of-a-kind result. It doesnt take a fancy sewing machine and very few accessories, which is great for me. Im looking forward to begin my first project.

So far I made three bowls, a plate and a purse. Carried my purse shopping and I had two compliments on my purse. The projects are made with clothesline that is wrapped with fabric. Very inexpensive craft..

This book is very informative as to how to make several different things from rope. I learned several things from this book.
