KAVU Rope Bag - Sling Pack for Hiking, Camping, and Commuting

Love the bag -- pockets all very convenient. Well designed. What surprises me is the incredible amount of lint that it picks up everywhere. It looks dirty and unkempt all the time -- I have black, so its very noticeable. This is a very disappointing dilemma to an otherwise great bag. I contacted Kavu directly, and they were very responsive. They are aware of the issue, however say that with the bag being cotton, there is not much they can do to prevent it. The design team is aware of the issue. Seems like something they would have tested out prior to release. They suggested purchasing the same bag, however the polyester version. I had hoped to use this bag for both every day use and travel -- however, will need to re-think and see if I want to invest in the polyester bag, on top of already purchasing this one.

Normally they are stiff and need worn in. This bag is very limp and worn. Its faded too. I have another thats a month old mini, and its bright and stiff still! (Pictured) Not happy with this purchase. I purchased a new Sling. Packaged poorly. Was crammed and folded in a small bag, and you can tell looking at it. It isnt versatile. It can be worn on 1 side. Its hard to hang when not in use. I wish it had more pockets inside this large one. The mini is small and perfect if youre just going to church and coming home and you dont need a lot of stuff and you are short. The strap is longer on the big one and works for taller or larger people better. (Im 5 tall) I wanted one fabric that looked more serious and one that was more fun, however Im not happy with the quality of the bigger fun one, that I got on arrival. I do like the Kavu bags, but I wish that the two large pockets were not in front of and behind each other inside. They affect what you can put in each side. It would be nice if they had another small pocket inside this bigger bag, because its hard to find things in the bigger bag the way its made. It is lightweight. Im unsure if I will keep it due to condition and shape of the front bottom pocket. You can see its not straight.

I bought a cheaper sling backpack but the strap was a little short for my plus size frame. The KAVUs strap is about 4 inches longer which was perfect! Really love the patterns they have - it was hard choosing just one. Looking forward to using this as my new theme park bag.

Well build and Stylish

love the bag, it holds a lot more than it looks like it should! The Chestnut color is a bit different in person; on my monitor it appears a light pinkish-tan with aqua-green lining; in person, its more of a violet-grey-brown mix, darker and cooler toned than the photo shows, with a blue lining. Its still a lovely color, in fact its more my taste than the photo, but those wanting exactly the color they see should know that its not a very accurate representation. The design of the bag is nice; the two big pockets hold quite a lot (Ive fit my DSLR and lens into the larger pocket with some wiggle room), though I wouldnt recommend filling this bag with big or bulky things as it will hang awkwardly and get uncomfortable very quickly. Ideal for women on the go--I wear it cycling everywhere as my purse. It can cause a bit of a divide-a-boob look in ladies that are a bit, ah, better endowed, because of the seatbelt-style strap. Overall, the bag is very practical and simple and fun to use and wear, and has a very specific outdoorsy/adventurous aesthetic to it.

I love this bag but it did not work for me. I watched the videos and tried everyday but I have large breast and I could not get it to settle right. That’s the only reason I’m returning it. If it had fit me better I would 100% keep it. My friends have them and love.

Im going to give this a 4 considering after just a month, some of the rope on the strap has come loose. I typically wear the bag daily but not for any rugged, extreme activity. I was a little disappointed it came apart after just a month but it very well could just be a dud. Minus That problem, I love it!! I love the vibrant colors and multiple pockets. It holds some much and is great for when you need your hands free. I would order again for Ive had my eye on other designs and wont have my issue again!

Quality bag with zippers. Must need for out of the house adventures. Meets my expectations. I wish though it would have a (metal) loop to attach carabiner hooks (or whatever) either inside or outside the bag

This is THE most Comfortable bag I have ever owned! The strap never bothers my neck or my shoulder which is the problem I had with every other bag that I have owned. It also doesn’t leave a big old sweat patch on my back. It’s quite breathable This is actually my second bag. I loved my first one so much that I decided to get another one. They are very durable and washable,. The only reason I even got a second one is because over time the color of the canvas material faded and I needed a more presentable looking one but the old one still very good to use.
