KAVU Rope Bag - Sling Pack for Hiking, Camping, and Commuting

You wont go wrong with this little bag. For me its perfect ;its small enough but roomy enough to carry just the things I need for my shift! I love the fact that I dont have to carry it in my hands like most bags I can throw it across my body and keep going. I love the numerous compartments it has. And not to mention, the color in the design of the bag was perfect for my personality! Im in love with this bag. Its so so very sturdy!

I thought this would be a good bag but my expectations for its water resistance were pretty low. I have owned a lot of water resistant bags over my years as a tour guide and various other outdoor odd jobs and while it is better than nothing, it rarely is quite what you hoped. Additionally, this bag didnt make any particular promises on that front. Well, I had this bag on when I was caught in a massive rain storm yesterday and expected everything in it to be a soaked as I was. And of course it was damp inside but honestly, everything in there was in rather good shape. Even my book wasnt more than damp. I liked this bag already since it fulfilled several of my needs (though a few more inches would be delighted in) but now this is my forever bag.

I had a Kavu purse years ago that just wouldnt die, and I kept on hoping that they would come up with some cute prints. I love this bag! It is easy to carry and easy to access and I am hoping that it will last as long as that purse... it never did fail on me. I ended up giving it away! It is a bit narrow on the inside, so I can only carry a couple of diapers, a narrow wipes container and one book or kindle. The front zippered pouch is great for the cell phone or a wallet. The top pouch is velcro. Its probably safe to put things in there, but I dont trust it yet. Overall, the size does force me to keep the stuff to a minimum. I only wish that they put a clasp somewhere in there for keys. The color is a bit darker than it shows up on my computer. A very dark navy, almost black.

Wonderful bag. Holds lots of stuff! Bigger than I expected and for that I am glad. Easy on the back to carry. Will be purchasing more. Highly recommend.

I purchased this bag specifically for Coachella last year and it was exactly what I needed. It was comfortable and lightweight, perfect for wearing all day while walking around in the desert and standing in huge crowds for hours. It fit in the locker but I mostly carried it around because I barely noticed it and enjoyed having all my stuff with me. While standing in a big crowd during some of the performances I wore it across the front of my body (just in case) and was very comfortable. It fit all the essentials like wallets, sunscreen, lotion, hand sanitizer, multiple portable chargers and cords, hairbrush, bandanas, sunglasses, even a small jacket and a few souvenirs. The small zipper pocket inside the main compartment held the really important stuff like cards (hotel key and shuttle pass) and keys (locker and rental car) plus some cash. I clipped a collapsible water bottle on the strap. The bag provided plenty of separated pockets and compartments that kept my stuff organized and easy to find without being bulky. Since then this has been my go-to bag for theme parks and cheerleading competitions, both of which I frequent on the weekends, so I have gotten plenty of use out of it for the past year. It’s great for carrying snacks. The only electronics I have carried in it so far are iPhones, an Amazon Fire tablet and an iPad mini (with case). I have fit it into carry-on luggage and worn it under jackets without looking ridiculous. It has survived rain and I have yet to notice any pulls or tears in the fabric, the design is still bright and not faded. I have not needed to wash or clean it yet. I highly recommend this bag for music festivals and theme parks. If you’re going to Coachella next month (or any festival) this bag is a must-have.

This backpack is nice and durable, and I love the style of it! The size of the bag is great! I like how the pockets are laid out compared to other backpacks that are similar. We had purchased another backpack similar to this one, and ended up returning it because the quality wasnt there and the pockets were laid out funny. We used this bag as a diaper bag on a trip to Hawaii that we took recently and it was the perfect size. I want to be able to take a bag with us that would be able to carry the stuff for the baby that we needed and also the few things that we would want to throw into a bag. We fit all of the babies stuff in the big pocket and then diapers and wipes in the side pocket. In the front zipper pocket we fit two phones or a wallet at times. It has a lot more space then it looked like it would, and worked perfectly for what we were wanting. I also wanted the bag to be able to be worn for when we went on hikes, walks, to the beach, and around town. It was nice cause my husband felt comfortable wearing it around also, so we could switch off carrying it at times. Since that trip we have taken it several times on hikes around where we live and have been able to stuff snacks, water bottles, baseball caps, diapers, wallets, and cellphones in it. It is very comfortable to wear also, and stayed on your back nice while hiking. The strap on the bag is very adjustable, which makes it nice if youre switching off carrying the bag with others. We are so happy with our purchase and have found this backpack to be very versatile and durable!

Its now been three years since I got this bag and it still looks brand new. Three international vacations, a five month study abroad, and countless hiking trips later and its survived it all. I really cant rave enough about this bag-- its small enough throw across the shoulder without being too heavy while also being big enough to carry exactly what you need for light snacks, water, papers, and even little books. The strap is super durable and the bag has so many pockets to organize the smaller items like your wallet, lip balm, pens. The small pocket on the inside of the large zipper is probably the greatest aspect of using it for travel. Fits a passport and other important documents with ease while also keeping it in a safe place from prying hands.

Bought this American made backpack for my daughter in law and liked it so much I got one for myself! Planning to get one for my other daughter in law for her birthday. I’m not a huge fan of this type of backpack but it works as it’s supposed to. The fabrics and patterns are fantastic!
