just needed to stock up - Ive been using Kester solder since the 50s restoring old tube radios

Been using lead tin Kester solder for over 60 years since age 12, discovering electronics and later working in aerospace. retired now but still have an electronics project bench in the basement. Am really healthy breathing the fumes all my life. Rosin core does a good job with circuitry.

Kester solder is one of the finest solders in the world! Melts easily and flows beautifully! Very economical because youre getting 1lb (450g+), not 50 or 100g like many of the other brands.

Best solder Ive used. Relatively low melting point, absorbs well into the wire, doesnt spit and leave spikes like the lead-free solder does, and it lasts a while. I use it heavily (several times daily) and it will usually last 3 months, give or take a bit. For the at home DIY-er, this will last years. I will not purchase any other solder.
