I was using the tester every day on the job. One day the tester was missing and after a few days I gave up looking and was going to order another one. I found it that night in the dryer after being washed and dried in my pocket. Everything still works as new. The wash and dry did no damage.

If you do any type of electrical work at home like I do as DIYer then you definitely need this for your outlets. Its a very inexpensive tool that you need that could save your life. Made by a reputable company this will tell you if youre outlet is wired up correctly just by looking at the lights on the top. It obviously will also tell you if you have power to that particular outlet although there are better tools made for that specific job.
