I received this NCVT-4IR Non-Contact Voltage Tester in a promotion I entered through Klein Tools #kleincrusaders. Im a licensed electrician having worked in this trade for 40 years. This is the best voltage tester I have used in those 40 years. It replaced 2 tools in my tool pouch those tools being a non-contact voltage meter and a temperature gun. It has a one-button operation to test voltage from 12V to 1000V AC. It has a convenient laser pointer which also helps target 4:1 distance to spot ratio for IR temperature which is great for checking temperature on heating grills, machinery and breakers etc. The digital readout on the backlit display is easy to read without my glasses. There is also a convenient pocket clip or tool pouch clip. The tester runs on 2 AAA batteries which are readily available.

It is a very amazing device, I use it everyday for voltage and also checking temperatures of my equipment. It is very accurate and death on.

The infrared thermometer is all I use. Fits great in my pocket. I checked the calibration and it is within the same tolerances as any other high dollar IR. +/- 1 degree. reading was the same as my Fluke. Volt sensor works but I never trust those.

Never quite worked right. Just sat I. My tool bag/box form months. After little use, it just stopped working.
