The cutters worked great for the first 400 or 500 nails that held shingle siding on. They literally cut right thru nails, then I noticed that there was a chip on the end. I am ordering another set because it may have been user error on my part. I will be more careful on the next pair. If I have failure on this pair I will re-review this product with an update. Right now my project is on hold.

Knipex are the highest quality pliers and never disappoints love these tools have about 25 of there products now and still want more highly recommended

I bought these to pull out nails out of my old trim boards. Theyve a great bite to the nail with easy way to leverage the nail out. Is there cheaper ones out there, yes. Im a buy a nice tool once and spend a little more.

A little pricey but didnt want a piece of junk that wouldnt hold up. Happy I spent a little more than the other ones on the market. Seems like they are solid and will last a while for minimal DIY usage.

Great, love these! offset hinge lets you cut longer nails or wire since the hinge doesnt get in the way. Easy cut of hardened nails and roofing nails - much easier and better than 17 Crescent brand, and better than a German brand. These are the easiest to use of all three brands, lowest required hand strength to cut the same nail.

I have been using then to cut small nail off and weaken 10 penny nails so I can put vice grips on them and back and forth them. Am remodeling an old house. They feel good in your hand. I have not pinched myself with the grips (yet) so I am leaning toward the opinion of good design.

I needed to flush-cut the head off a bolt. There wasnt enough room to get a grip with regular bolt cutters, and I couldnt do it with anything that I found at Home Depot, so ended up searching on amazon and found these. They snipped the head off that bolt with no problem. Unfortunately for my wallet, I loved the build quality and feel-in-hand so much of these things, that I went into a full-on Knipex overdose and bought like 7 more of their tools the next week. They follow the typical pattern for high-end German tools: high quality, great performance, and they cost 2-3x as much as they should. On the plus side, I expect to get a good 20 years of use out of these, so in that context theyre not as expensive as they might seem.
