I bought these for my granddaughter and her friend so they could have them to use when taking a walk. They are very easy to use, just slip on wrist to be easily available, and then they can just give a sharp tug and pull on the whole whole device to pull it off the plug and release the alarm.

This little contraption is just exactly what I was looking for. I am backpacking on the Appalachian Trail soon and was looking for something nonlethal to help scare big animals away (bear, mountain lions, bad people). We put headphones on and tried this out in our garage. Sure packs a whollip of a noise. Everything for miles might run away.
