This works very well. The only reason for four stars instead of five is a missing element in the instructions for left-hand swing doors. The set comes set up for right-hand swing doors (standing on the hinge side of the door so it opens toward you, the handle is on the right). There are instructions for converting to a left-hand door, which puts the lever on the correct side, in the correct orientations. However, they leave you with the keyhole upside-down. A call to customer service revealed the easy fix--a small clip is removed, the cylinder rotated, and the clip re installed.Not sure why that was not in the instructions. The self-keying feature is amazingly easy and works great!

You didnt lose the set screw. Where you learned righty tighty lefty Loosey. The set scree is left hand threads. Just remember this then you wont need a magnifying glass to read the instructions. Lastly the switching from lefthand to righthand is easy.

We bought our house a couple years ago and have been remodeling it as we go to fit our tastes more. We live in a log home and the doors were white, which was odd with bright brass knobs, which looked original to the house. My husband got some discount doors locally and sanded them & stained them. He was able to fit these on there and it suits the house so much better. They look so beautiful! I cant wait to buy more to install in every room of the house. The handles turn nicely without too much resistant, but not too easy either. They are a little darker than the picture in person, but still lovely and match our house. I wish they were a little more cheaper, but we wanted a finish the matched appliances in our home and something more fancy and this was the best we could find for our vision and decided it was worth the price.

This doorknob (technically lever) is GREAT. I replaced a 30+ year old door lever similar to this and it made a world of difference. The action is butter smooth and its dead quiet unlike my previous lever. The whole assembly feels weighty and solid in a satisfying way. Assembly took me about 15 minutes (and Ive never replaced a knob before), if you dont count getting the collar on the latch assembly of my previous knob out (it was REALLY stuck in there somehow). I love how it comes with bother a latch assembly collar and plate! Cant speakl to the Microban feature, but the metal feels really smooth, almost oiled in a good way. Will definitely be buying more.
