> 24 hourAn Amazing fan the speed selector handles the speed you are looking for. If you are handy you can build a base and hang it from the ceiling.

> 24 hourThe motor finally gave out on my 10+ year old box fan and this sounded like a suitable replacement. Easy to move and position. I use it in my upstairs bedroom.

> 24 hourI must have loud white noise to sleep at night. I work at night and I live on a busy street in a generally loud complex, so the fan noise has a lot to drown out. I had a few air king plastic 20 inch fans that sounded like a small plane engine, which was perfect! However, after the first one ran for years until my home was flooded, the replacements died months to a year if they ran at all when they got here. I took a chance on this fan because it is described as a good source of white noise and it is supposed to be durable. This fan produces great white noise on high. I ran it on medium in the winter because it was too cold for high. It produces adequate noise on medium. I can barely hear it on low. On high, it isnt the air plane engine that the air kings were, but it is loud enough to drown out most noise from outside. It also moves a good amount of air. I put it in my hall way to pull air from the back rooms to the front, and it worked really well. The only thing that I dont like about it is the knob. As others have said, it is located on the back of the fan motor instead of the top where most knobs are. You have to move the fan to turn it off if it is parked by a wall. Overall, I like the fan so far.

> 24 hourI am sending this back. Its homely, too big in its footprint, and really junky in its plastic construction. Truly unattractive. Im buying a tower fan instead and in addition maybe an air purifier. And - BUYER BEWARE - the company that sends this fan out notes that you cannot use the fan, not even to try out the wind (!!), if you are going to send it back. They stipulate for returns that the fan must not be used, must be packaged in the original packaging, and so on. But jeeezzuss! you cant even turn the fan on and direct it at your bed to test the wind strength? Gimme a break.

> 24 hourLight enough to move to different locations. And the remote makes it easy to use when needed by disabled individual.

> 24 hourIts a good working fan. Wish it came with a remote thatd be the cherry on top! Good white noiselevel nothing distracting or obnoxious. The know button is a little loose but you just have to push a little while turning the dial. Id buy again.

> 24 hourThis is the 2nd fan I bought. Failed after a couple years, but the fan pretty much runs year round. Not as quite as I would like, but air volume is something Im happy with. I would buy this again.

> 24 hourIts hot and super muggy in Brooklyn now and this fan has been one of the best things I ever purchased from Amazon. It arrived in a crunched box and I thought I would find a broken fan inside but to my happy surprise, it was without a scratch. The wind this dynamo produces actually does cool down my hot living room (its quite large for a mid-income building in NYC). Sadly, my old air conditioner is kaput. Several years ago, I bought a large overhead light and ceiling fan thinking it would help with sky-rocketing energy costs and I wouldnt need to run the air-conditioner on high as much. Boy, was I wrong. The afternoon sun burns up my apartment and even with the air-conditioner and ceiling fan, it tends to get stifling in here. Last summer when the air-conditioner sighed its last cool breath, I was pinching pennies and decided I needed another fan so I bought a costly Lansko upright model locally. Total waste of money. It hardly blows any air even though it’s silent and oscillates. Still pinching pennies these days, a new AC is not an option. On top of the cost of buying one with a high enough BTU, my buildings management wants $375 just for the installation because of the kind of custom windows we have under strict warranty. All this to say, the Wind Machine 3300 has been doing double-time when the temp rises over 90 and the heat index feels more like 115 degrees. Yes, it’s a little noisy when turned on high and it does not oscillate but that’s nothing I can’t live with for the breeze. I like that I can adjust where the air is blowing by tilting the fan up or down. Twice now, I’ve even forgotten to turn on the overhead fan which proves to me that this (under $40) powerhouse is a bargain. I risked the bad reviews and am thrilled with this purchase! Just keeping my fingers crossed that the Wind Machine will keep working as it is now.
