Good sequence of increasingly more difficult jigsaw puzzles for a toddler. Took my daughter about six months to work up to the eight piece puzzle (with very little use, just cognitive development), but once she did it was quickly very boring for her and we discarded it.

This is such a wonderful puzzle! All the adults who saw it fell in love with it, and my 2-year old cant stop playing with it. Each puzzle is about the same size, so the smaller the number of pieces, the larger they are. It is perfect for young kids just learning to put such puzzles together. The colors are also vibrant and pretty. The back of each piece is numbered with the puzzle size - 2, 4, 6, or 8. Highly recommend it!

Its a real struggle to find puzzles that bridge the space between peg puzzles and 12-16 piece jigsaws. These have filled the gap beautifully for us and well probably buy more in the series. The images are large enough to be able to point out to a 1-2 year old where s/he can match the different colors or parts of animal faces to one another, and the pieces are sturdy and fit nicely into each other on a flat smooth surface. These little puzzles also do a great job of developing spatial awareness: you may be surprised how quickly your toddler progresses from struggling with the 2 piece to completing the 8 piece puzzle!

My 2 year old son LOVES completing these puzzles! When we first got them he could only watch the puzzle be put together. After a few days he quickly figured out how to put them all together, these are his favorite now!! I will purchase more of these puzzles! Highly recommend!

This is definitely not a puzzle set I would have thought about getting for my kids normally. My sister-in-law ended up requesting one like this for her child and it was such a good price and looked like a good product that I bought one for my kids as well. My older child is 4 years old and likes it because it is easy, but he got bored with it after putting the puzzles together twice. My younger child (2 years old) loves this puzzle. Its challenging for him because the pieces can be difficult to actually put together, but not so much that he wont try it again. Every time someone new comes over he has to show it off and see if they will put it together with him. Even if he isnt putting the puzzle together he is usually trying to talk about something on there and learning or reinforcing colors, shapes, numbers, etc. It is a terrific starter puzzle for a 2 year old!

This was a great set for teaching my 1 year old how to do a jigsaw puzzle. She was able to do the 8 piece puzzle on her own by 18 months old. My one complaint is that the pieces are kind of thin and really warp over time, which makes them difficult to get back together.

These puzzle sets (we now own 5) taught our daughter how to put puzzles together!! We bought her one and she fell in love. They are super cute, the large size is great,they are very well made and PERFECT for toddlers learning puzzles for the first time. The colors are vibrant, the pictures are playful and the backs of each puzzle set are numbered for easy separating. Once she learned them they werent quite as challenging for her, but we are saving them for our younger kids and she still asks to play with them a few times a week. (Shes 3.5 - bought them shortly after turning 3) I highly recommend buying them for toddlers to learn with, and I think early 3 is the perfect age. We have ABC, 123, Colors, Shapes & Jungle. The Colors set seemed to challenge her the most.

My 2 1/2 year old loves these puzzles. They are a nice step up from the wooden puzzles that you just match the shapes. The only issue I had was that I purchashed the 123 number set. It was pictured as animals in aireplanes. What I actually received was cute monsters. Still cute but not exactly as expected.

I like how big the puzzles are, and that they have more pieces but do not jump to much in difficulty

My two year old daughter loves dinosaurs and puzzles. She was ready for the next step up from the individual puzzle pieces (like in the wooden frame) but many jigsaw puzzles are still too complicated with too many pieces. This is a great next step and she loves all four puzzles! She can do the two-piece and the four-piece independently and can do the two eight-pieces with some assistance. Im going to order another set for her birthday!
