> 24 hourGot this to make it easier for my wife to put on her heels since the original holes are on the short side. I used the smallest hole punch and it works with no problem just aim and squeeze an when you hear the click the hole is made. The hole works but looks slightly bigger than the originals but havent had any complaints yet so Im happy.

> 24 hourThis punch is great for putting new holes in belts or in “nibbling” larger holes, or other cuts when used alongside a good set of leather shears. With the punch and shears I have recently repair several belts plus cut down large ones to fit smaller waists. A good tool to have.

> 24 hourIf this stands the test of time, I will be recommending this to every leatherworker I know. I thought centering the punch over a marked point was going to be difficult given the shape of the punch tip but its not an issue. The guide plate is awesome. The fact that it wont clog up with little leather bits is awesome. The fact that the punch isnt grinding into a brass backplate after making a hole is awesome. The perpendicular motion of the punch is awesome. This is the evolution of leather hole punches. Put away that crappy Tandys silver punch you got because it was the only thing available when you decided to start leatherworking and get one of these.

> 24 hourSturdy, fully punches rawhide leaving no attached pieces. I had bought a Red handled version from a different company and had to return it as it did not fully punch the pieces out and left them hanging. This one was more but so glad I went with this one! Time saver for sure! I do not find the adjusting of the different areas difficult at all and like the options offered by this tool. The spacing guide makes keeping distance from the edge perfect without having to worry. A great feature that I didnt think I needed. I make rawhide rattles and this works wonderfully for that. Lots and lots of holes to punch and no issues so far and seems to fatigue my hand less than others I have tried. I have smaller hands so this is great. I would definitely buy this again

> 24 hourExcellent design with true straight punch. Difficult to punch thick leather. Punch holes too small for M5 screws.

> 24 hourI received my new hole punch and was quick to put it to work. I have punched several hundred holes with this tool and here is what I have found... Pros: 1. Comfort and usability - Very comfortable in the hand and does not require a large amount of hand strength to punch through thicker leathers. I believe that this is due to the non-hollow nature of this punch. 2. Quality of use - Very clean-cut holes. The face of the leather where punched is smooth and somewhat beveled and leaves a nice look. The back can sometimes be a bit ragged due to this tool cutting through the die vs a hollow punch cutting against the anvil. 3. Quality of tool - Tool seems to be reasonably well made and should last a long time. I am curious to see how long these punches stay sharp. Cons: 1. Ease of use - Changing punch size is much more cumbersome than necessary. To change sizes, you have to turn a thumb screw and select the new size punch. There is no indent that the punches click in to so you also must use the included Allen wrench to loosen the die, rotate the die to the proper size. Again, there is no indentation that the die clicks into, so you must make sure that the punch fits into the die, then tighten up the screw in the die, release the handle and turn the thumb screw to lock in the punch. 2. Fit and Finish - I am glad that they included the necessary wrench to change punches, the problem that I have is that once I initially removed it from its holder in the handle, it will not fit in properly again. Thus, every time I would punch a hole, the wrench falls out of the handle. I have stopped using the wrench keeper. [UPDATE] I have spent some time trying to figure this out. It turns out that if you insert the head of the Allan key into the hole while it is 90 degrees from the handle and rotate it into place, it will set appropriately. 3. Design issue - There is no way to latch the tool closed. All of my other punches have a latch and release to keep the handle closed when not in use. This helps keep my tool drawers from becoming a tangled mess. Things that are ok, but could be better: 1. Depth Gage - This is the main reason I purchased this new punch, being able to have a consistent distance from the edge to the hole punched. This does work well. The problem that I have is that the throat of the punch is not deep enough for many of my uses. The maximum distance from the edge that you can punch is about 3/4 of an inch or 18mm from the edge to the center of the whole. Would be much more useful if this were at least an inch if not more. 2. User Experience - It would be great if they included some type of catch for the plugs of leather that are punched from the work piece. Again, not a showstopper, but a nice feature to have. Overall Impression: Seems to be a quality made tool, but there are some definite improvements that could be made on the design side.

> 24 hourI previously had bought two other of these kind of leather punches for making holes in bicycle inner tube, making upcycled jewelry and other creations. So many punches just don’t cut through or are uncomfortable to hold, even a more expensive brand. But this one is rather good. feels good in the hand, not too big. I’m a female with average size hands. I like it’s a smooth punch and I only wish I wouldn’t keep losing the Allen wrench to adjust and change whole sizes but fortunately, I keep it about the same most of the time. lol Happy hole punching!

> 24 hourI needed to add a few holes to my belt for when I wear high waisted jeans, this thing did the trick! I would suggest watching the unboxing video in the items picture gallery, it helped me better understand how to use it.

> 24 hourThis is much better than the basic 6 hole types. Much sturdier and cleaner punch throughs. I hada cheap basic one that broke and decided to spend a bit more on this one, was worth it. One thing that might not be for the mechanically challenged is changing hole sizes, not that hard but could frustrate some folks. To change hole size first loosen slightly the small bolt that holds the 6 hole plate (its called a die). Next the tool will need to open further, rotate what looks like sort of knob on the side by spikey wheel (those 6 spikes are called punches). There is a flat spot on that knob that allows the tool to open further. Doing that allows the spikey wheel to turn, rotate to the punch size you want. Then rotate the plate (the die) to the hole that matches the punch. The tricky part is lining up the punch and die, squeeze the handlel ightly as you line up punch and die. Once lined up squeeze handle so tool is fully closed and hold it like that while you tighten screw that holds die in place. Last step is turning the knob so the tool doesnt open fully... otherwise the spikey wheel turns.
