> 3 daySturdy, fully punches rawhide leaving no attached pieces. I had bought a Red handled version from a different company and had to return it as it did not fully punch the pieces out and left them hanging. This one was more but so glad I went with this one! Time saver for sure! I do not find the adjusting of the different areas difficult at all and like the options offered by this tool. The spacing guide makes keeping distance from the edge perfect without having to worry. A great feature that I didnt think I needed. I make rawhide rattles and this works wonderfully for that. Lots and lots of holes to punch and no issues so far and seems to fatigue my hand less than others I have tried. I have smaller hands so this is great. I would definitely buy this again

22-04-2025This is exactly what I needed, a tool that punches holes through and not just ends at a blunt base. I just wish it was a little more use friendly. You need tools to adjust the tool. A tool shouldnt require other tools to use it.

> 3 dayGot this to make it easier for my wife to put on her heels since the original holes are on the short side. I used the smallest hole punch and it works with no problem just aim and squeeze an when you hear the click the hole is made. The hole works but looks slightly bigger than the originals but havent had any complaints yet so Im happy.

> 3 dayThis is much better than the basic 6 hole types. Much sturdier and cleaner punch throughs. I hada cheap basic one that broke and decided to spend a bit more on this one, was worth it. One thing that might not be for the mechanically challenged is changing hole sizes, not that hard but could frustrate some folks. To change hole size first loosen slightly the small bolt that holds the 6 hole plate (its called a die). Next the tool will need to open further, rotate what looks like sort of knob on the side by spikey wheel (those 6 spikes are called punches). There is a flat spot on that knob that allows the tool to open further. Doing that allows the spikey wheel to turn, rotate to the punch size you want. Then rotate the plate (the die) to the hole that matches the punch. The tricky part is lining up the punch and die, squeeze the handlel ightly as you line up punch and die. Once lined up squeeze handle so tool is fully closed and hold it like that while you tighten screw that holds die in place. Last step is turning the knob so the tool doesnt open fully... otherwise the spikey wheel turns.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace a broken leather punch. For months this punch has sat on a table unused because I couldn’t figure out how to rotate the punch head. Often the punch bit won’t fully clear the upper plate even when the locking screw is fully loosened, preventing rotation of the head. If you do manage to rotate the bit head, you still must use the Allen wrench to turn the bottom plate to match the punch. A real pain! This is way, way too complicated if you just want to quickly punch a hole in a stirrup leather or halter. Additionally, there isn’t enough jaw clearance for really thick leather. Not recommended except perhaps as a craft punch for occasional use.
