I wondered if I needed this tool before I bought it. I had 5 Christmas LED Nets and 2 LED strings that had lights out. I bought the tool and the strings were fixed in about 10 minutes each. The Nets took longer because they were made up of three strings each and two had multiple strings out. Some of the Nets also had multiple LEDs out and I was able to fix them all saving the cost of buying new Christmas lights. The tool was well worth the cost and I am happy with the quality and how well it works and the features it has. I used the wire connector and the LED tester. I did not need to use the fuse tester. I recommend this tool to anyone with Christmas lights that do not work.

It used to be that if you had a string of Christmas lights, either they all lit up or none lit. Then a few gyrations later, there are sets that, at most, every other bulb would go out. Then we made the move to LED Christmas lights. Not even half way through the first season, small sections of the string - about 10 bulbs or so - would go out, but the rest of the string was fine. By the end of the season, all the LED sets had these burnt-out sections, some sets had more than one section out. Second season of LEDs, we bought all new light sets and, within a week of being on the house, those sets have the same small section problem. Needless to say, these LEDs are getting expensive fast and making me wonder if going back to the tried-and-true incandescent lights wouldnt be better. Fortunately, a friend mentioned this little light-fixing gadget to us, but the one he had was only for incandescent lights, not LEDs. My wife and I searched all the local stores and couldnt find it the LED one, but Amazon came to the rescue. Im not sure why we kept last years bad LED light sets, but we did and Im glad we did. Less than 10 minutes after opening this gizmo, all of last years bad sets are good as new! The directions for this LED Keeper are easy to follow and the device is simple to use - and a real money-saver. The way it works is you plug the light set into this battery-powered tool and then follow the directions to figure out which bulb (or bulbs) is (are) at fault. The problem is the cord isnt all that long, so you need an extension to test light sets that are already in place on the house. Nonetheless, its a great tool! If you use LED Christmas lights, do yourself a favor and pick up one of these. Youll be glad you did.

Product worked as advertised. I watched the instructional video before purchasing and learned a thing or two about LED lights Make no mistake, fixing LED strings will not be as fast as using the LightkeeperPro on incandescent strings ( what could be faster than a couple of pulls on the trigger?), but it is definitely faster and more reliable than a bulb by bulb check. I repaired 4 sets of LED Net lights the first evening. Some took longer than others because they had multiple problem bulbs within a single section. By my count I’ve already paid for the tool 3 times over and expect to save more of my LED sets. My chief problem now is finding replacement LED bulbs as I am running out of the supply that came with the sets. If you have LED sets that won’t ligh or only partially light, this product is for you. If you only have one set, probably best to just buy a new set. If you are like me and have 40 sets (big yard), you’ve got to have this tool in hand your arsenal. Brian Rowlett, Texas

Couldnt get to work at first, and almost threw it in the trash due to frustration. The video tutorial was helpful, but could get no lights to light up at all, on a working or non working strand. Decided to change the 9V battery, even though the red indicator light turned on when I squeezed the trigger. So CHANGE THE BATTERY before you get mad and throw it away. Was fairly easy to work after that. Although still required some effort because I found I had multiple bulbs out and a bad socket on a single section of strand.

I honestly think this was a life saver. Anyone reading reviews before purchasing this product has to know that this requires patience at first. Once you get the hang of it, troubleshooting stringed LED light failures will be a breeze. Here is how i used it for my icicle led lights. 1) Plug your light into a socket and identify a section where the lights dont work. 2) Use the clamps to identify the section. 3) Plug the light into the Repair tools socket and pick a random section between the clamps 4) I prefer to use the last led found on the icicle light as it is easy to isolate a single wire to do the testing. 5) Once you position the wire and pull the trigger observe if any lights light up. If it doesnt find another spot to test within the section. 6) If a portion of the LEDs do glow, then you move the clamps closer narrowing the section that doesnt work. Repeat steps 3-5 7) Once you are down to a single icicle and observe 2 or 3 that never lights up, you can bet one of those LEDs need replacing. Ive repaired four 70 inches long in hour replacing around 10 micro LED lights. The first one took a good 20 to 30 minutes.

A single strand of lights on our Balsam Hill prelit LED tree wouldn’t light when we setup our tree. The tree was purchased in Jan 2021. Using this keeper, we identified the bulb that needed replaced and had the full tree lit in 10 minutes. The clips were so useful!

I was going bonkers last weekend because of the 11 light strands we use during Christmas, 6 of them had a section out. I googled fixing Christmas lights and thankfully this product came up. I watched one of the videos the company has and decided to give this a try. There certainly is a bit of a learning curve (watch the videos!), but I was able to fix four of the strands tonight until I ran out of replacement bulbs (a fifth one randomly started working again). I accidentally tore the entire housing off of the first strand because the bulb was stuck, so put one of the pods on and it lit right up! I went to our backyard, which has a different kind of lights, and I had to fix at least three bulbs, which took a while. But the strand eventually worked again! On these strands, the wires were wound very tightly, so it was hard to fit the keeper in sometimes, but I was able to unwind the wires after pulling on them a bit. Thankfully, I found the bulb on the fourth strand very quickly, probably also because I had some good practice under my belt at this time. I saved about $100 in new Christmas lights by getting the LED Keeper!

Replace the battery that comes with it. I thought mine was defective and then used my own battery and it has worked like a charm.

I had 2 LED strands that were defective. Instead of going to Walmart and replacing them, I gave this LED Repair a try. It was much cheaper than 2 strands and it saved me the trip to Walmart. Now, I don’t have to dispose defective lights. I highly recommend
