Greater than one weekI took a chance and bought this for my eight year old granddaughter. She LOVED it! My son sent a picture of a very proud little girl next to the carriage. I would buy again.

> 3 dayThis is exactly what I wanted. There is nothing wrong with the actual item. I ordered this as a gift for my husband. When the package arrived it was just luck the had me opening the door. Im so glad he didnt because the package was OPEN. The tape was completely lose from one side of the box. If the UPS man had wanted a Harry Potter lego he could have taken it right out of the box! That is not acceptable!

> 3 dayLego has been on a bit of a binge lately, releasing multiple sets from both The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Goblet of Fire lately, and having put together a bunch of them, this particular set ranks near the top. A couple of them seem a bit slim for the price (Voldermorts Return, which is also a bit baffling due to its subject matter, and Expecto Patronum, which has really cool figures, but is a really weak set overall), but this one hits right in the sweet spot. In the mid-range for this series (the Hogwarts sets are obviously more), this set is one of the more inventive, as it not only is a solid base-level build of the chariot and cool minifigs, but the chariot opens up to reveal an elaborate interior. Its much more elaborate and interesting than the Knight Bus set (which is close to the same price point) and includes several more characters, as well as the the winged horses (which have become favorites, whether in play with this set or others). Hopefully they take cues from this set when putting together something spectacular for the Ministry of Magic set in the future, as this one hits all the details nicely and has some surprises to boot.

Greater than one weekI must have drank some felix felicis potion to get to test out this Lego set. It is a great lego set that was fun to build. Id call this set an intermediate skill level as far as Legos go. It took me almost an hour just to separate and sort the parts. (I know some people just dump all of the Legos into a pile and find the pieces as they go, but I cant do that). Building the set took me about an hour and a half, but I took a few breaks to walk around and snack. The figures are great, and there is even an extra wand so that Hagrid can have one... after year the battle of Hogwarts. Or if you are crafty and want to have an authentic Hagrid wand, you could probably put some pink tissue paper or fabric around the extra want to look like an umbrella.
