I purchased this to take to my D&D games, to hold pencils and dice and such, and its quite nice for that purpose. It carries multiple pencils, index cards, post it notes, and a small bag or tin of dice very well. The overall quality of the case seems good. The only thing that somewhat surprised me was the outside material is more plastic-feeling that leather-feeling. I thought it would be more of a soft, pseudo-leather material rather than a hard shiny plasticy material. Its still a nice case, though, and it does what I need it to do, so Im happy with the purchase. I ordered the brown case, BTW.

I am a pen junkie, so when I saw this I had to have it. It does everything it was described it would do. My only regret is that I should have ordered a triple in stead of the double.

2020 edit: the black version I originally reviewed in 2017 is still in use, looks great, zippers are fantastic. The blue one I bought in April of 2019 however just broke: one of the zipper heads fell off. While I can still use it, it seems like theres a quality difference between the versions with the black logo and the ones with the red logo. YMMV. Pros: * Lots of storage for a variety of sized objects * Flattish design (as opposed to the tube design of many pen/cil cases) * Dirt resistant material is easy to clean * Can use for a variety of different supplies: medical, tools, art, food, utensils, toiletries * Zips open to lay flat Cons: * Materials that pockets and flap are made of limit what can be stored * Interior color is drab * Zipper pulls are thin and can be hard to grip This is a nice case, but not as nice as I was hoping it would be. I purchased the black version which has a brown interior. The brown is more drab and darker than it seemed online (think dirt instead of leather), and I do wish it was a bit brighter, but its not bad. The material is somewhere between canvas and vinyl, and looks very nice. It seems to be dirt resistant (rolled it around outside and on my dog) and wipes off easily. The flattish design helps this fit in messenger bags and briefcases or other flat carry bags more easily than its rounder cousins. The flatness and the zipper that goes around 3 of the 4 sides makes the case lay flat when completely unzipped, which is especially useful. The zipper pulls are thin and smooth, and arent easily gripped by large, wet, or arthritic fingers. Id much prefer traditional round zipper pulls for virtually any storage, but especially if using this as art or medical storage. Lots of pockets and storage options, however the pocket lips arent stretchy and the mesh is only a little stretchy. It makes it difficult to store things that are awkwardly sized in the pockets. In addition, the center flap that serves as a separator also serves as storage. This becomes a problem because of the lack of stretch; filling both sides of this flap causes obvious bending of the stiffening material the flap is made of (see photos). These pockets seem to be designed to hold mostly thin, flat things like stickers, paper clips, lead, school erasers, etc. In my test, I put a Staedtler eraser, kneadable eraser, roll of washi tape, and a cheapo school eraser in these pockets, with a set of Copic markers on the other side. There was noticeable bending of the center flap making me wary of putting anything else in these pockets, or anything differently shaped/sized. This limits the effectiveness of this product for many artistic (or other) uses. If the pocket lips were stretchier and the flap was stiffer, this would be a non-issue. The center flap pocket is also not a rectangle, but more of a rounded rectangle. This makes the left and right sides of the flap have a shorter vertical storage space than the middle of the flap, so it will definitely limit what might be able to be carried there. I could fit only 5 Copic markers; a 6th would have stuck out and prevented the case from closing. See my photo; I have only 5 there, but you can see near the bottom of the photo [left side of the pouch when vertical] how the curvature of the pocket would prevent more being stored. The outer pockets are best for small, flat things that you wont mind that they might get lost. When fully packed, I couldnt put anything substantial in these pockets, and because they dont have any stretch Id be wary of putting anything not flat in them anyway for fear of breaking the seams or stretching the pockets out of shape. However, if I were using this as a desk storage pouch (as opposed to a travel one) these would be great pockets to store erasers or small rulers or post-it notes. For the price, overall its a nice little storage case. I hope this review helps someone else!

This pencil case arrived and I wondered how to put it to use. It had so many pockets, and sides within those pockets. Dont worry, you will find a use and it will become a new best friend, as mine has. The Blue color helped me to pull and identify from my large bag. The double sided zipper 1 helped me to hold both cell phones, with change purse and extras on the outside. Pocket #2 not only has double sides, with straps, but thick enough to contain a 5TB XD> Then there is another zippered pouch, with mesh bags, ON Both SIdes. This little bag has become a treasure trove. The Left side contains 3 tiered layered mesh pouches where as the right contains a single about 2/3 of the height of the bag single mesh pouch, perfect for, pens, cards, lipgloss, you name it. Itll hold it. Highly recommend and was seriously a bit overwhelmed with it upon arrival. Very cool indeed.

Was hoping to use this as a case for my drawing pencils- alas, its not long enough. This is much better suited for pens.

This case fits a ton of stuff in it. You could fit way more pens on the left panel if you stacked them. This case is super inexpensive for its quality and durability. Contrary to most reviews, I got lucky I got one without a chemical odor. It just smells normal to me? The cheapest option of this is honestly the best way to go for students [who arent artists], in my opinion. Buying more flaps would help more for objects like [washi tape], white-out, staplers, erasers, etc. but not pencils. Pros: - Fits a lot - Durable/strong - Many different compartments (Two pocket compartments in the front. Awesome for sticky notes, photo cards or I.Ds) - Great range of colors to choose from - Fit my bubble tea pin through the fabric! - My seller included a cute little origami of a shirt Cons: - The mesh is panelling is kind of odd and flimsy. Its separated well though. - If you shake it/drop it/move it too hard, the secured pens may kind of flop around a bit. They never fully fall out of place, though.

i was watching some organizing school supplies video on YouTube and a very organized and studious youtuber bought this so Id thought I would buy one myself to be like her. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION EVER!!!!!!! This pencil case is bigger than I expected and fits a lot more stuff, usually all my previous school years I would have to shove everything and it would break down due to the overload every year. This case fits more than I wanted so if you have a lot of supplies like I do, you shouldnt have a problem with the capacity. As for stability, this case felt very stable and seems like it will last me a few years ahead but I dont know about the elastics inside that holds the pens.the front pockets in the front cant fit anything, maybe a card or a student ID (which I think will fall out) but thats it, nothing can fit because its so stiff and not flexible. The inside is also the same, not flexible at all but I guess thats a good thing so it holds your stuff in place and wont fall out each time you open it. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. I read some reviews from the 1 star category and people said it smelt like chemicals? To me, it smells like leather or like a brand new car. There was not one scent of chemicals so I guess its just luck? So Id say, buy it but be warn about the small and maybe a minor defect like a rip inside as Ive seen another reviewer commented. Cant wait to use this for my 9th grade year!!! Class of 2020!!!!!

Okay had this for over 4 years. And the problems was that the pens and pencils would be sliding off from where it’s supposed to stay at especially at the part where their is a strap to hold the pens in. So I wouldn’t wanna buy it again. It also was squished due to my belongs in the backpack so it would take a tiny bit longer to open it up.

This really is a great organizer for pens and such. It’s very nicely made, the outer side pockets, oddly enough, perfectly fit a couple of sketchmark rulers for stenciling and line work. Inside I have a set of artist pens, a set of colored felt pens, a set of energel pens, black and colored, some mechanical pencils, some highlighters, a couple of fountain pens, erasers, small pair of scissors, and mechanical pencil refills. And I still have space left, it’s exactly what I needed.
