Greater than one weekI use this every day for school! I use it to store my pencils, erasers, and it even fits my 2TB External Hard drive. So far Ive had it for a couple of weeks and I honestly love it so much. Im still not really sure what I can use the front two pockets for because Im afraid stuff will fall out of it so I just put some extra bandaids in there just in case. I used to just throw my pencils in my backpack and lose them and this just makes my life so much easier. I cant explain how much I needed this because I never had a pencil holder in my life and wow I wish Ive gotten this a lot sooner.

> 3 dayThis is just what I needed and the quality and size are very, very good at this price. In fact, I have never seen one more suitable for traveling outside of my home with my basic art supplies than this wonderful little bag. You can put pencils, erasers, sharpener and whatever you need in this one handy little bag. It has enough compartments to keep all of the essentials separated and easy to get to. When I am out sketching I dont need 40 pencils just to sketch out something. I dont even need that many at home so this is perfect for me. It should hold 10 to 15 pencils easily. This bag is so nice and has so many features, including two external pockets, that I am probably going to buy another one to use with my camera accessories. The only drawback is that it has a peculiar smell to it that I assume will go away in a few days. If not I will wash it out by hand or throw it in the washing machine.

Greater than one weekThe LIHIT LAB. Double Zipper Pen Case, 7.9 x 2.8 x 4.7 inches, Coral is undoubtedly the best one I’ve used yet. I use it everyday in school and find that it is the type of pencil case that best suits my needs as a student. Before this pencil case, all other pencil cases I used were just big bags with one or two pockets. I found that my things were very disorganized and my pencils smeared lead all over my other supplies, making them dirty and quite frankly, disgusting. With this pencil case, there are two compartments and pockets for everything. No supplies will have to just fall free in a large bag. All of my supplies can be organized (I can keep my pens, pencils, highlighters, and color pencils all separate) I also found that in the past, I had to disperse everything I needed in a large pencil case and a smaller pouch but now everything I need (including a large graphing calculator, 5 pencils, 12 color pencils, 6 highlighters, 8 pens, a ruler, a protractor and 2 erasers) fits into one compact and easily transportable case. The only complaint I have is that care instructions were not included. After my pencil case got a little dirty on the outside from school, I wanted to wash it but was unsure if it was washing machine safe. I decided to test it and put in the machine and dryer and it came out clean and in perfect shape. Overall, Im very happy with this purchase (though a little expensive) and it remains in good shape to date.

> 3 dayI got this case to hold my most frequently used planner supplies. I was pleasantly surprised at how much more stuff I can carry in it than I assumed would fit. The pen area on the front side of the divider holds 10 slim pens and the area opposite of it is roomy enough to handle everything from standard pens and pencils to my bulky water brushes. The deeper pocket in the bottom of the case has space for several stencils, a pair of scissors, a couple of rolls of tape, and a bulky tin that holds some masking stickers. The bag is sturdy and seems to be very well constructed. Even packed with all my supplies, it zips closed easily and doesnt seem to be straining at the seams or zipper. The size is great for my needs. Its roomy enough to hold what I need it to while still being compact enough to throw in my purse with my planner. I expect it to hold up for at least a few years of heavy use. If there was one change I would make to the design, it would be the 3 small pockets on the backside of the divider. I would have preferred one small pocket with the the other two removed to make space for a larger pocket. The small pockets are a great size for page flags, but they wont fit much else. I would have liked to be able to carry a full sized sticky note pad in there, but its a minor complaint. I would highly recommend this case to anybody else who keeps a planner or bullet journal. It would also be great for art journalers, scrapbookers, and people who sketch or use watercolor pencils. There is enough room inside the case to carry a small sketchbook. Im considering getting another specifically for my drawing and coloring supplies.

> 3 dayAs a senior in college I wish I found this sooner! I use the front pockets to hold my colored pens, the 3 pocket side to hold my pencil sharpener, flash drive, and white-out, and the back pocket holds my highlighters, pencils (slightly sharpened to fit), sharpie, and dry erase marker! This thing is amazing! When taking notes in class, I love switching colors for specific points or when drawing in anatomy and with this I can easily switch colors without having to dig through a pencil bag to find a specific one. Love this!

> 3 dayStorage space: I was able to fit 6 highlighters, 3 sharpies, 12 pens, 6 mechanical pencils, 2 extra lead containers, 2 small two-inch sticky tab pads, and white-out tape. Color preference: I purchased the one in black, however it isnt exactly black. Its more dark gray than black, which worked out for me because I like gray anyway. But for some of you who are picky about the color, its not true black. The interior is a poopy brown (the best way that I can describe it lol.) Smells like: Nothing. Im actually surprised there wasnt a strange odor, because every time I buy some sort of carrying vessel on Amazon, there always seems to be some sort of chemical-y, faux leather-y, new smell lingering on the item. But thankfully, this one smells like nothing. Overall: Would recommend to college student who is super OCD about writing tool organization. I didnt give it five stars, because there wasnt anything special about it... it was just a nice, functional pencil case. And also because the slots where you can store smaller items, like extra lead containers, were a little hard to get into. But all in all, good purchase. I have attached pictures for your viewing pleasure.

> 3 dayI LOVE this pen case. It holds so much. I am ready for any situation that needs a writing implement - as long as I have my case. haha. I carry it with me 95% of the time though in my backpack or a tote bag and bring it to the couch or table when Im ready to sit down and update my journal, or sketch or just color. Mine currently holds: 1 fine black Sharpie, 4 Hi-Tec-C Coleto Me multi-pens, .05 mechanical pencil, .07 mechanical pencil, 1 Pentel Clik eraser, 2 Pilot Petit1 fine nib fountain pens, 2 Pentel 8 Multi-pencils, 3 Mitsubishi 2mm lead holders, a ceramic pen cutter, mini Stabilo Boss highlighter, an eraser, post-it tabs, lead pointer for all my 2mm leads, .05 and .07 lead refills, 6 inch ruler, and symbol/numbers/letters templates. I havent even put anything in the two pockets on the outside yet. The price is more than I would normally pay for a pen case, but this one is worth it. Sturdy fabric, great construction and as you can see it holds A LOT. Amazon does have the best price for this too. I bought this to go with my green Lihit A5 bag-in-bag. I absolutely LOVE both. Really wish I would have found them BEFORE my vacation. If I wasnt using this for all my pens and pencils, I would probably use it for either sewing/crafting or electronic device paraphernalia.

> 3 day2020 edit: the black version I originally reviewed in 2017 is still in use, looks great, zippers are fantastic. The blue one I bought in April of 2019 however just broke: one of the zipper heads fell off. While I can still use it, it seems like theres a quality difference between the versions with the black logo and the ones with the red logo. YMMV. Pros: * Lots of storage for a variety of sized objects * Flattish design (as opposed to the tube design of many pen/cil cases) * Dirt resistant material is easy to clean * Can use for a variety of different supplies: medical, tools, art, food, utensils, toiletries * Zips open to lay flat Cons: * Materials that pockets and flap are made of limit what can be stored * Interior color is drab * Zipper pulls are thin and can be hard to grip This is a nice case, but not as nice as I was hoping it would be. I purchased the black version which has a brown interior. The brown is more drab and darker than it seemed online (think dirt instead of leather), and I do wish it was a bit brighter, but its not bad. The material is somewhere between canvas and vinyl, and looks very nice. It seems to be dirt resistant (rolled it around outside and on my dog) and wipes off easily. The flattish design helps this fit in messenger bags and briefcases or other flat carry bags more easily than its rounder cousins. The flatness and the zipper that goes around 3 of the 4 sides makes the case lay flat when completely unzipped, which is especially useful. The zipper pulls are thin and smooth, and arent easily gripped by large, wet, or arthritic fingers. Id much prefer traditional round zipper pulls for virtually any storage, but especially if using this as art or medical storage. Lots of pockets and storage options, however the pocket lips arent stretchy and the mesh is only a little stretchy. It makes it difficult to store things that are awkwardly sized in the pockets. In addition, the center flap that serves as a separator also serves as storage. This becomes a problem because of the lack of stretch; filling both sides of this flap causes obvious bending of the stiffening material the flap is made of (see photos). These pockets seem to be designed to hold mostly thin, flat things like stickers, paper clips, lead, school erasers, etc. In my test, I put a Staedtler eraser, kneadable eraser, roll of washi tape, and a cheapo school eraser in these pockets, with a set of Copic markers on the other side. There was noticeable bending of the center flap making me wary of putting anything else in these pockets, or anything differently shaped/sized. This limits the effectiveness of this product for many artistic (or other) uses. If the pocket lips were stretchier and the flap was stiffer, this would be a non-issue. The center flap pocket is also not a rectangle, but more of a rounded rectangle. This makes the left and right sides of the flap have a shorter vertical storage space than the middle of the flap, so it will definitely limit what might be able to be carried there. I could fit only 5 Copic markers; a 6th would have stuck out and prevented the case from closing. See my photo; I have only 5 there, but you can see near the bottom of the photo [left side of the pouch when vertical] how the curvature of the pocket would prevent more being stored. The outer pockets are best for small, flat things that you wont mind that they might get lost. When fully packed, I couldnt put anything substantial in these pockets, and because they dont have any stretch Id be wary of putting anything not flat in them anyway for fear of breaking the seams or stretching the pockets out of shape. However, if I were using this as a desk storage pouch (as opposed to a travel one) these would be great pockets to store erasers or small rulers or post-it notes. For the price, overall its a nice little storage case. I hope this review helps someone else!

04-04-2025Really REALLY great. Best pencil case Ive found and used in my last 7 years or so of arting. It can fit long pens, markers and pencils as well. No problem-o. When items such as pencil sharpeners as placed in the pockets on the backside of the flap, the flap bows which is unfortunate. I have been putting the sharpener just resting above my travel palette because it is the perfect size, but it does tumble out when I open the case which is not ideal. But this only discernible con thus far after 3 weeks of use. I love that I can see all of my pens and pencils without them thumbling about in a one large pocket. I can also fit a small palette for my gouache and 2 water-brushes next to it in the back pocket. I often find myself just opening it to survey the troops. They are poised and ready for action. Wonderful soldiers and friends. Update: After about a month of daily use (it goes everywhere with me), the fabric on the piped seams is fraying slightly and beginning to wear down on the corners...not great. This in addition to the floppy/bowed nature of the flap have caused me to down-grade my review to 4 stars.

> 3 dayI thought the fabric would be more of a canvas material but its definitely more like a waterproof swishy fabric. The bag is pretty spacious but I have trouble deciding what to put in the 3 small mesh pockets in the back of the middle flap as the calculator in my pictures doesnt allow much room. Mine did have 1 loose string sticking out which was kind of annoying but I cut it and hopefully it doesnt start to unravel the bag or something. As I dont carry that many school supplies, I used the very back of the bag to hold my portable charger and cosmetics. The oil blotting compact doesnt easily fall out of the bag as there is a sort of lip that extends higher than the bags back that holds everything in place.
