Liquitex Professional Gesso Surface Prep Medium, 3.78L (128-oz), Clear

Great price, not going to have to buy any of this anytime soon, but if I do I marked this as my favorite.

Ive made and used all sorts of gessos. This works fine and yields a reasonable smooth surface without too much effort. If you are used to using a more absorbent surface you might want to grind some gypsum powder or slaked plaster into it first. If you are used to working over acrylic bases then this should be perfectly comfortable for you.

The lid was busted and all cracked. I cant safely store what I dont use.

I’ve always heard about this gesso on the art pages and people I follow in YouTube. When I ran out of what I had I just went ahead and ordered this one. Boy was I missing out! You can do so much more with less! Great coverage and smooth texture. I’m no expert and certainly not a “real” artist, but this stuff is worth the money!

It is not CLEAR, more of a cloudy grayish white. I wanted a product that would allow other images to bleed through. This product does not. It covers.
