> 24 hourIts a 60w ceramic heat emitter, it does what its intended to do. These are all pretty generic, not the most powerful ones out there, but also less likely to fry the housing of your lamp over time. Creates a nice, warm basking area for reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, etc without unwanted light.

> 24 hourThese bulbs make a nice heat source for chicks. I got the 60 W bulbs and setting up just one of them worked well for the six chicks we needed to keep warm in our house. If we were to keep much more than that I would either set up more than one bulb or get the higher wattage ceramic bulbs. I kept a digital thermometer in the box with them at first just to make sure I got the temperature right and had the bulb set at the right height. Some observations and adjustments are required for these to work well but no more than what you would need to do with a traditional red heat lamp from tractor supply. I don’t prefer those because in our case they are just way too hot and too much of a fire hazard. It should be noted that these ceramic bulbs don’t emit any light so one would need to provide another source for light for the chicks to be able to eat and drink during regular daylight hours.

> 24 hourI purchased a set of two heating bulbs to use for my plants before the winter storm came. I really like the heat that they put out and they seem to work well, except only one of the bulbs works; the other one does not come on at all. Major bummer.

> 24 hourThese little heaters are great for several situations. Im using one to heat the pump house which is located in a shed in my yard. Prior to using this type of heater I relied on bulbs that emitted light and some heat. Invariably, there was something that froze every winter. Now, these ceramic heat units emit no light, just heat which is more efficient. I can also see why that would benefit animal owners as the light would disrupt sleeping cycles, etc. The little pump house is approximately 3 x 3 x 4 feet. At 25 degrees outside, this heater kept that room at about 35 degrees preventing the pump or pipes from freezing. I will probably upgrade to a higher wattage unit for a few more degrees of freeze prevention.

> 24 hourWhen ordering these, I wondered if it was going to be too much heat. Up till now, I have only used heat lights. Not the case, it’s not over powering. It’s actually smaller than I expected, which is a good thing. The positive for me is, I am making a heat source for my dogs on cold nights, without the lights. I’m sure the dogs will appreciate that.

> 24 hourI have been in search of heat lamp bulbs for some time now that emit heat but have no light retracting from them. These are those heat lamp bulbs! They have worked well for my leapord gecko for the last few days. I appreciated that two came in this pack!

> 24 hourThis works pretty well. Keeps my lizard warm incase a bulb runs out and i cant make it to the store fast enough. Doesnt put out an extreme amount of heat but would do well in addition w other bulbs incase you needed to bump the temperature up some.
