This little speaker has some big sound. PROS: Sound Quality, bass&treble adjustment knobs, built in subwoofer, sleek vinatge look, auxiliary plug, Bluetooth, App works flawlessly, is LOUD as hell. Cons: None to date In summary for this price you cannot find a speaker like this. Though i cant speak on the lifespan this little guy really did blow me away.

“Awesome” has become such a clichéd description nowadays that I make it a point to avoid using it. It is so overused that it has become meaningless. However, in the case of this speaker, I am going out of my way to describe it rightfully as awesome! We are using our Acton III in tandem with a Bluetooth turntable and the results are magnificent. Marshall has always been known for its superior speakers and this one features great sound, loud and clear, with the cleanest whispers to the most resounding booms. I’ve always placed Marshall just a notch below Bose when it comes to home music and sound but this speaker, at this price point, is the one to go with – impeccable audio and a value at under $300. Easy to set up, just plug it in and pair it with your device, and you’ll receive immediate sound superiority. The split sound is so wide that you’ll have to look twice to make sure you have just one speaker playing. Perfect for soft music lovers, pop fans, opera aficionados and hard core rock’n’rollers. Brilliantly black with gold plated switch and connections, it’s a beauty to behold. With the classic Marshall look and appeal and with state of the art Marshall sound, you can’t go wrong with the Acton III. Currently priced at $279.99 (at the time of this review) and with quick and safe Prime Delivery, this is an ultimate value that I can’t praise enough.

Oh boy. This is where the phrase comes to play. You get what you pay for!!! OMG let me tell you. I do make my own music and play on many different radios till it sound right. At least I think it right. Until this happened. I get this speaker and I plug it in. I installed the app. I turn on the music and its like Marty McFly all over again. The quality of the music just blew me away. I though I had bass in the music but no. This speaker just brought out everything in my music and much more. It like I never really heard my own music before. My wife and kid is not at home and you think I am going to let them use this? No way. I never see it again. Its that good. To mee it worth every penny. I know guitar amps named Marshall and they are really good too and this one is awesome. Dont belive me then hear it for your self. Good Luck to you and your new sound system. Oh ya forgot. Gave the battery a 1 star because it dont have one. It has a cord for the wall.

For a relatively compact speaker, the sound quality of this unit is excellent. It connected almost seamlessly with my phone via Bluetooth, and also with my computer. Its size is small enough that it can be placed almost anywhere, and its attractive enough that you neednt worry about where you put it.

First off let me get this out of the way. The sound quality is great, it gets loud and doesnt distort when the volume is maxxed out. That said if you plan on using this as a PC speaker, you will need to use an AUX cable. Reason being is that this speaker has an auto-standby feature where if the speaker isnt used for 10 minutes it will disconnect from the source and goes into sleep mode. This means if you work on your computer or watch videos, play music, etc., then leave your PC, when you return, you will have to manually wake the speaker up before sound will play through it again. Logging back into Windows will not do it, you will have to either turn the volume up or down or switch it on and off to get the Bluetooth to work again (I learned this the hard way). Also, when you use an AUX cable it will render the Play/Pause/FF/RW shuttle switch inoperable as it can only be used in conjunction with a Bluetooth connection. I believe this situation applies to the other Stanmore and Woburn models as well.

I was in the market for a new blue tooth speaker for my garage. I jumped as soon as I cam across this one. It arrived quickly, great packaging, no damages. I immediately plugged it in and connected to my phone, In less than 2 minutes, my garage was jamming. Great sound and bass from this speaker. I really love the aesthetic though!!! My last speaker was stolen, I think this one will be easier to deter thieves away because of the vintage look. I love it!!

The best bluetooth speaker i have ever heard. Looks just like Marshall speaker. Runs from app you download from the app store. The sound is amazing. I would have never imagined that much sound could come from such a small speaker. It packs a punch. Very impressed.

The Bluetooth speaker is small in size, it has a classy look. The powerful sound is crazy! I got it for my bedroom…….. you can hear it and feel it through the house .

The quality is still good, but it feels better than the previous generation. Because acton II sounds quality better than the acton III. there is no cable in it,the price is also more expensive lol. I like the two different ways of linking. More convenient and easy to bring it with me.

The speaker arrived safely packaged and had some weight to the box, which is generally a good sign. The quality of the exterior definitely caught my eye. It looks very sharp and classy. The volume, treble, and bass knobs all use LEDs to show their levels since the speaker can be controlled through the Marshall Bluetooth app. It also includes a 3.5mm AUX input, pause / FFD /RWD controls, and nice large toggle power button. Connecting to Bluetooth was very easy and intuitive. Just hold down the Bluetooth button till it makes a noise and the light starts flashing, then it will appear on the phone as ACTION III. Once I connected, a popup appeared with a link to download the Marshall Bluetooth app from the Google store. This automatic notificaiton may depend on your phone and OS version. Within the app, I was able to update the firmware on the speaker. This process took a few minutes to complete. From there, I was able to adjust a setting for placement compensation. Is it close to an edge? Is it free standing, against a wall, or in the corner? Since I use this at the edge of the living room table to send music and audiobooks towards the kitchen and the rest of the house, close to an edge and free standing was the obvious choice. The only other settings you can control is the bass and treble levels. Volume is governed by your phones main volume control. As for the sound quality, this is an excellent speaker, especially for its price tag. The sound is crisp and clear with no distortian even at 100%. The max volume of the speaker is perfect for a house speaker. We honestly wouldnt want it any louder. I recorded it around 95 dBa normally with an occasional jump to 102 / 103 dB depending on what was playing. The frequency range is good and it can get down to the upper sub bass frequencies (40Hz). Youll hear the bass, but you wont feel since this is only a tabletop speaker. That being said, I was still impressed with how it played the various music I threw at it. This is definitely my favorite (non-battery powered) Bluetooth speaker we own. Ill come down in the morning, flip it on, and start playing my audio book, music, or the news from my phone and I can hear it nice and clear throughout the first floor of the house as well as mostly clear going down into the basement. I can also wash the dishes in the kitchen and still hear and understand what Im listening to.
