Mary Ellen Products 60041-1 startch, Scent Free, 16 Ounce

Im a quilter who always pre-shrinks my fabric. Best press restores the crispness and body to the fabric after washing. The overspray does build up on the floor and walls, but can be easily washed off.

I came across this product when I started quilting. It doesnt leave any starchy residue and makes the material crisp and easy to cut. Although I dont iron lots of other items, I have used it occasionally for cloth/linen place mats and napkins. They look as if I had sent them to the cleaners for a professional look.

I am a quilter--and love the product, I am disappointed in the fact that I ordered scent free but received citrus instead!

Im the one who does the ironing in our family, and I used to use a ton of spray starch on my jeans and shirts back in the day. My wife had some of this stuff from a quilting project so when I ran out of starch one day I asked if I could try this product. It works better than spray starch, no residual flakes or stuck-on residue like the aerosol spray starch. I order it 2 gallons at a time and the weight of the fluid makes shipping pricey, but the product is very much worth it.

I’ve used this product for years. I use it when quilting to help the fabric behave. I’ve even added water to it, 1/3 water, 2/3 Best Press with good results.

The Best Press woks perfectly for treating fabric to give it body to make it easier to handle while sewing. It was recommended to me by my sewing club members.

I love this product and have begun using it more and more for smaller pieced items when quilting. It is so much easier to sew a nice straight seam on fabric that is not so limp. No residue or smell like with regular spray starch...doesnt gum anything up or leave a flaky film behind. I get no scent which is great for my allergies but there are other scents for those who like that. Lavendar is not bad.

I love Mary Ellens Best Press. Not sure getting through Amazon was the best idea as the bottle leaked and I lost about 1/2 cup. It was packaged in a plastic bag so it didnt leak through onto anything, but such a sad waste.
