Greater than one weekI finally installed the software from the disk (purchased the software right before my father passed away and forgot about afterward) and opened an account with them to find out that it did not come with an activation code. I feel cheated! I wasted my money for nothing!

> 3 dayI have been looking for something to replace MyRecipeBox on my iPad as I need something that has cross platform support and synchs my cookbooks between devices. I had high hopes for this product, as it has been around for many years and people seem to love it. I was utterly dismayed when I installed Mastercook 15 on my PC and launched it. The UI looks like something from the 1990s. The graphics are horrendous. It is kludgy to use, and NOT intuitive AT ALL. One would think Home would take you to your library of cookbooks, allow you to add/look up a recipe, maybe show some recent recipes that were accessed/added. You know. Those things that are the MOST COMMON, REGULAR tasks that you would want to do. But no...it takes you to a screen with links to uncommon/one time activities such as download the iOS mobile app, import from previous versions, create a Group Cookbook, and tutorials. Seriously??

> 3 dayIve been a user of MasterCook for a decade or more. Years ago, serious development stopped on the software, and they converted to an annual subscription model at about $30/year. I was annoyed but inertia kept me with them. The latest news is that MasterCook 2020 is due this month, and the new cost will be $100 to $125 (or more) per year. This is another example, like Quicken or MS Office 365, of companies taking mature software, converting it to the SaaS (Software as a Service) model, and milking what users remain. After considerable research, I have converted to Paprika Recipe Manager 3, which seamlessly imported all 500 of my MasterCook Recipes. Paprika has every single feature that I wanted - and more. Plus, its much simpler to use, even on multiple devices. The direct import of recipes from websites is particularly robust. I have zero association of Paprika, btw.

> 3 dayIve been using Mastercook since about the 4th edition. 15 is the best yet. It can easily sync all your cookbooks you select and the recipes to your mobile device once you download the app. Once set up every time you add a recipe to the computer it automatically shows up in the app. While Im not the fastest learner with these programs and apps, and Ive had a few problems that were mostly caused by me, it is easy to get help from their Support. Just ask a question with a decent description of what is happening and Pam Erickson will get back to you fast. I have yet to wait more than an hour or two for a response and she is always able to get me going again. No other program has this kind of support.

Greater than one weekI purchased this item to record and print my recipes. After a great deal of work, I was finally able to get the program to display the recipes as I wanted them displayed. All I wanted was a list of the ingredients over a list of the steps to create the recipe. I also wanted this information in sufficiently large type that I could easily read it. This is not much to ask for, but it took about four hours to create this format. Then, when I went to print the recipe it would not follow the format that I had created. Instead, the program had its own format that was not at all like what I had formatted for the recipes in which it printed the recipe. If I wanted to have my recipes printed in the format I had designed I would need to spend more time formatting the printing template. At that point, I decided I would simply design my own recipe program using Word and Excel. It is much easier and cheaper that MasterCook. Do not waste your money on this product.
