Gas loaded hood supports were exact replacements for 2006 Hummer h3. The Maxpowsupports were easy to install and extremely reasonably priced. Prime had them on my porch in 2 days. It does not get any better!

Easy to install and works as expected. The gas compression chamber is about 1 shorter than OEM. Time will tell if this makes a difference in life expectancy. Ive read complaints that it is static locked and individuals cannot compress as should be expected. Once weight of the hood is applied compression does take place.

I had to take the ends off the rod side of the old hood struts and put them on the new struts. The new rod end is not correct and wont lock onto the ball down on the fender.

This had to be the easiest repair Ive ever made! These were the perfect fit and excellent quality. Oddly enough my tailgate gas support just fell off ... no joke. Ill look for the same brand for replacement.

Product fit perfectly and was installed in less than 5 minutes.

Rare, five star review here because I was BLOWN AWAY by how better these things are than the 160,000 mile suckers that were on the hood of my 2006 Hummer H3. Now when you begin to lift the hood - the hood lifts itself! Thats how strong these things are. Well see how long they last, but for the money, these were one of the best purchases Ive made for my truck in a long time. AWESOME!
