We put this on computer , I pads, and new Apple phones.

Very disappointed in the installation process. Last year I had to contact Support installing McAfee, but the advise was that I had not removed an existing security program PRIOR to trying the installation. No where does it suggest that, and prior times, in my experience, a new program removes the old. This year, with McAfee already there, I thought it would be a breeze. WRONG! It became non responsive after the download, although we had progressed to the next step. I found the program in my downloads, and started from there again. Once more, even with an EXISTING McAfee program, it was necessary for me to uninstall in order to complete the new installation. I wanted a security program to use on multiple devices, hence my selection. Not sure about next year!

I switched to McAfee last year. The installation was easy, but not this year. It is so frustrating!! Same as the other brand Trend Micro. I guess many antivirus software are hard to install.

McAfees VPN requires that you have to setup their automatic renewal at ripoff prices. (5 times what you pay on Amazon.) I ordered the Unlimited version specifically because it said it includes VPN with without automatic renewal. After installing it, the VPN still wont work without setting automatic renewal. McAfee support is useless. For other features, like the firewall, it is difficult to impossible to customize anything useful. This is a paid product, but McAfee stills bombards your screen with useless popups like it was a free version. Very disappointing.

I switched to McAfee because of NORTON now forcing people to give credit card and auto renewal. I have always used NORTON, and was generally satisfied. MCAFEE stinks! I purchased TOTAL PROTECTION, and yet within a week of downloading, I received an email claiming my VPN was expiring, and I needed to purchase it!! ALSO, you only get 250mg of internet protection, told you used it all for this month, then you constantly get notices to purchase PREMIUM! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! VERY MISLEADING AND DISHONEST!

I was pleased at how McAfee worked when first installed but now having doubts. First to go was the scan and shut down function that disappeared after an update only to reappear sporadically, Now the notify when scan done function hit or miss. Makes you wonder how good the virus algorithms are at finding malicious code. Probably switching back to Norton when my subscription up for renewal. 12/31/2021 Update I keep getting Your McAfee subscription has expired spam mail from 3dr party senders. I never had this with Norton, McAfee selling subscribers information?

I am using McAfee for last 4 years, I am happy with McAfee so for.

Besides the price, I can also use the account to protect a few other electronics in my home.

Okay, I bought this software to use, and it was advertised with several features. What is not plain, is that you have to SUBSCRIBE for it to renew, before it will allow you to use some of the features of the software. Yeah, kind of bordering on false advertising. The reason for a low rating is because of that. If I buy software, it should work completely as advertised. I (and probably a lot of users) do not like being forced to subscribe. If at the end of the year I like the performance of the software, I will buy it again. perhaps the marketing department of the software company should really think about the bad publicity concerning this tactic. In fact, that is the reason I discontinued the use of another well know virus software. Very disappointed that McAfee has such little confidence in their product that they have to resort to this method, so that their customers can use the full features of their software.
