Here is what you are buying; a day of heartache. Lets assume money no issue. Let the auto-renew run and pay $120 every year and dont mess with it. McAfee doesnt want to lose you as a customer so theyll be putting adds in your face every day 30 days prior to running out of subscription, offering to basically sell it to you for $60. BUT, you can buy an unlimited devices license for $30 here on Amazon. You should know that the McAfee website is made so you cant talk to a person. So if you are using this software on a handful of devices, and you dont want to pay 4x what new subscribers pay, you will be forced to uninstall your McAfee installation and reinstall a new installation. On each device. Bottom line, once a year, you will be spending a day if you have more than one or two devices uninstalling and reinstalling. If you are using a Windows system you run great risk with uninstalling software as complex as Antivirus / Firewall software. Currently my uninstall / reinstall has failed with error code 12152. It shouldnt be like this. Its designed to frustrate you into submission. This program isnt worth $30 or $60 or $120.

I switched to McAfee because of NORTON now forcing people to give credit card and auto renewal. I have always used NORTON, and was generally satisfied. MCAFEE stinks! I purchased TOTAL PROTECTION, and yet within a week of downloading, I received an email claiming my VPN was expiring, and I needed to purchase it!! ALSO, you only get 250mg of internet protection, told you used it all for this month, then you constantly get notices to purchase PREMIUM! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! VERY MISLEADING AND DISHONEST!

They keep telling me it’s time to renew but, I just installed it in November. So I need to call them.

I ordered the unlimited licenses feature, however, when I went to redeem it said it was good for only 10 licenses. Either Amazon sent me the wrong product, or McAfee has a funny definition of unlimited. Sadly, as my protection was about to expire, I didnt have the ability to challenge it and return the product for an actual unlimited license. Not happy.

My computer was invaded by cyber terrorist with this installed.. I had to go in and correct all security afterwords. I dont know if I would recommend it or not since it claimed my computer was safe. A lie!

I specifically purchased this unlimited devices McAfee on Amazon to be able to protect 2 laptops, 2 cell phones and 2 Amazon Fire Tablets. It wasnt until I tried to load it on the tablets that I received a notice that McAfee does not support Fire Tablets. That should be disclosed on the page of the item listing. You cant purchase McAfee for 6 devices so I purchased the unlimited subscription and paid extra for nothing.

Im an avid user of McAfee at home and on some of the work equipment I manage at the office. Most of our work devices use ESET, just because its easier for me to manage the fleet using it, I have used McAfee to run on all my devices and mobile phones (Android as well as iOS) with great ease. For the price, ease of use, and, unlike ESET and a couple of other anti-virus solutions I have tried, McAfee runs perfectly quietly without hogging a lot of system resources. The notifications and incessant adverts can get annoying, but turning them off is pretty easy.
