> 24 hourMetal shavings stuck to the side of the top opening, damage to both sides of the bottom one. Id send it back but I need it today. Loust QC and obviously zero inspection. I was able to clean it up with a micro-file, but for a $50 extruder to have such an abysmal level of quality control? The manufacturer should be embarrassed.

> 24 hourI allowed me to run 3D-Fuel Pro PLA+ on it I love the stuff.

> 24 hourThis was a great quick and easy upgrade for the Anycubic Vyper. No issues installing and you dont need the cable that reverses direction. I started off the ESteps at 130 per the instructions, ran some tests and ended up slightly adjusting it. You can find videos on YouTube on how to do this with the Vyper and Octoprint. Installing this and testing/adjusting the ESteps took maybe 30 minutes in total.

> 24 hourThis went on my cr10 smart. Came from an all metal creality and so far its been a night and day difference. Beautiful machining and the fit was perfect. 130 esteps were recommended I ended up at 139. The recommended retraction settings were spot on for my petg. I was only able to run 30mm a second before with the creality extruder before stripping filament but now I can run 45 and that made all the difference. One thing I didnt care for is they recommend to bevel the bowden tube and it was extremely tough to get it aligned/clocked correctly. I ended up just cutting it smooth and running it right up to the end of the exit tunnel and it feeds through fine. I suspect this will make tpu prints much easier as well so Im excited to try them. Definitely a great upgrade that I wish Id bought in place of the creality.

> 24 hourMicro Swiss put a good deal of effort into this design, overcoming pretty much all of the problems I had with the factory extruder on my Ender-3 Pro. First, the gears are much higher quality, and grip the filament better than the stock extruder, and the hardened steel gears will not wear out like the brass one did. Second, they moved the filament path to the outside, away from the Z axis rod (which is why you have to use the included reversing cable for the motor). Third, they constrained the filament path so that you can just insert the filament and turn the knob to load it - no more fidgeting with the filament to get it to go through the tiny little hole in the original extruder. And finally, its aluminum, so Im not worried about the lever breaking. The only concern I had with this kit was the fact that it uses compression fittings for the bowden tube, so if you ever have to replace the tube, youll need the correct size brass compression sleeve. They included a spare, but Id suggest buying a few extras. Also, do not overtighten the bowden fitting or you will compress the tubing and restrict the filament from going through it. Finger tight plus about a quarter turn should be sufficient - if you can still pull the tubing out, give it another quarter turn. Once I got it installed, I just keep the fitting finger tight and it holds the bowden tube securely, but I can still unscrew it easily if I need to cut the end off the filament. Finally, make sure you have the stepper motor with a D-shaped shaft. If you have one with a pressed on gear, youll want to replace it, because the plastic knob will not work with the press fit shaft, and youd need a gear puller to get the old gear off. The Creality motor costs about 15 bucks, which is less than a good gear puller, and makes installation much easier. As for the price, you really do get what you pay for. The cheap clone extruder I installed on my other printer has cost me more in wasted filament than I paid for the Micro Swiss, and I will soon be replacing it with the real deal.

> 24 hourWhen I was well in practice of using our new printer I had a lot of frustrating issues. The items and upgrades were brand new so I figured it was me and gave up for a long while. Gave up and purchased this and it solved everything. Now I can smoothly switch filament in the middle of a print with no issues!!

> 24 hourIt is really hard to find fault with this item. The original Creality plastic thing was a disaster, so this one is better by far. Ive tried the various metal versions that cost half the price of this and found them poorly designed. Using bolt threads as bearing surface, for example. The Micro Swiss is easy to install. Just follow the online instructions. People complain about the compression sleeve but I find that to be a much better solution than those screw-in things with the c-ring retainers. The red extruder knob is kind of junk because it is too small for me. There are much nicer ones available on Thingiverse. The filament sensor on the CR-6 has to be moved a bit. Micro Swiss points to a mounting plate on Thingiverse that does the job. This extruder is a solid item, easy to adjust. No more filament slipping and easy to load.

> 24 hourA beautiful piece. Vast improvement over the plastic stock extruder. Highly recommend. But follow the instructions.

> 24 hourThis is the best upgrade you can purchase for your printer. The tolerances are exact, the dual feed gears mesh together really well, the tension system is great. No more chatter, not more failure to feed forward. I works perfectly. I did have to buy a new stepper motor because mine came with a pressed on gear, but the new one was $11. Installation was easy. Go for it, spend the money, you will not regret it.

> 24 hourI had heard it was a simple replacement and it is. I havent had and skipping since switching over.
