I finally decided to get myself a formidable, light, high quality, fast (very fast) processor with great storage. This is the dream come true. I am thrilled with this laptop!

Everything about this laptop is great so far. Havent faced any slowness or system hang. Updates are regular and quick.

Be careful with amazon on this one. Nowhere did the description call out refurbished. When I got it I already lost 6 mo the of warranty then I noticed on the back there was a sticker stating congrats for giving this item a second try.

Touchpad ceased working properly within the first year. Ive tried all diagnostics I can find online and ultimately Ive been advised that it is defective hardware and that i need to send the computer in for repair. I do not have the time to lose as this is a business computer and I need to work. I see this is a COMMON PROBLEM and seems to be a major defect with this product. I remember trying to change to Surface from Ipad a while back and the Surface was a lemon too... does Microsoft build a good product that one can buy and just use? Stay away from this product.

You cannot have it all of course, but this laptop is great-looking, quite powerful, has a good if not great screen and better than average battery life. Could it be better? Without a doubt. But it is pretty great as it is.

I got the 15-inch Ryzen 7 version in grey metal. Ive had the SP2, SL2, SL3, and now this SL4. Its the best Surface yet! Its got better battery life and better thermal performance than my intel-based SL3.
